Erich Rappold

Erich Rappold (born April 13, 1960 in Tarrenz ) is an Austrian politician and tax officer. Rappold was a member of the FPÖ until 2004 and was then a member of the Tyrolean state parliament of the Free Party of Tyrol until 2008 .

After primary and secondary school, Erich Rappold attended the three-year commercial school. He has been a tax officer since 1979 and between 2005 and 2007 completed the university course "Academic Administrative Manager" at the Hans Sachs Institute in Wels. In 2007 he completed the "Public Management" course he started in 2005 at the Hans Sachs Institute.

Rappold was initially politically active in the Nassereith community , where he was a member of the local council between 1992 and 2004. From 1992 to 1998 he was also deputy mayor there, then until 2004 on the municipal council. On April 5, 1994, Rappold was sworn in as a member of the Tyrolean state parliament. Until March 30, 1999 he was a member of the Financial Control Committee, a member of the Agriculture and Forestry Committee, a member of the Finance Committee and the Environment Committee. On October 21, 2003, Rappold was re-elected to the Tyrolean state parliament, and in the same month he became chairman of the financial control committee.

Rappold was a member of the FPÖ until April 2004. In the course of the party split in 2005, Rappold left the FPÖ and founded the state parliament club of Free Members in Tyrol with Wilfried Tilg. In the state elections in Tyrol in 2008 , the Free Party of Tyrol did not run and Rappold left the state parliament.
