action

The Hamburg businesswoman Maria has achieved everything professionally, only one child is missing for her happiness. When she miscarried again, her doctor advised against further pregnancies due to her age. Maria decides to investigate a rumor that prostitutes in Eastern Europe are selling their newborns. In search of a woman who will give her baby, she gets deeper and deeper into the world of prostitution and human trafficking. Soon she is confronted with a brutal Russian criminal, in whom all threads come together.

criticism

The film service judged that at all costs it was “an expressively photographed social thriller, which is largely carried by the furious acting Kim Basinger, but after an impressive staging it sinks to solid, symbolically overloaded averageity”.

Awards
