The Scottish War Emergency Cup (German: Scottish Emergency War Cup ) was held once in 1940 after the outbreak of World War II in 1939 instead of the Scottish FA Cup . It was also the last fully held competition before the end of the Second World War in 1945. It was restarted in the 1946/47 season . The Scottish Football -Pokalwettbewerb began on 24 February 1940 and ended with the final on May 4, 1940 at Hampden Park of Glasgow . In the final of the Scottish War Emergency Cup , the Glasgow Rangers andDundee United opposite. The Rangers won the final 1-0 with a goal from Jimmy Smith .
