Susi Banzhaf

Susi Banzhaf (* 1969 , according to other sources: November 1968) is a German actress and musical artist .

Life

Banzhaf comes from Franconia and moved from Nuremberg to Hamburg in the early 1990s . From 1991 to 1994 she attended the Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama in Hamburg, where she trained as a musical actress. In the following years she played in numerous musical theater productions such as Grease , The Rocky Horror Show or Der kleine Horrorladen . In 2001 she took part in the world premiere of the Schlagerrevue Hossa by Frank Thannhäuser , with which she later went on tour in Germany.

She has appeared at various Hamburg theaters, including the Imperial Theater , the New Theater Hamburg, the Altona Theater and the Royal Theater am Holstenwall. At the Imperial Theater she participated in several crime plays, including Miss Casewell in Die Mausefalle (2003-2004), Isla Crane in The Indian Cloth (2004) and as Mary Lenley / Cora Ann Milton in The Witcher (2005). In the 2006/07 season she was on stage at the Altona Theater together with Tommaso Cacciapuoti as a partner in the musical Das Appartement .

She appeared regularly in various productions at the Schmidt Theater in Hamburg . In the St. Pauli musical Heiße Ecke , Banzhaf played several roles as Lisa, Hannelore and Margot.

In 2005/2006 she performed at the Quatsch Comedy Club in Hamburg and Berlin. Since 2010, Banzhaf has been working increasingly for television in addition to her theater appearances. She acted in several TV series in episode and guest roles. In the television series Die Kuhflüsterin (2015), Banzhaf had a continuous series role as wife and mother Gitti Padberg. In the ARD television series Der Zürich-Krimi (2018), Banzhaf plays the role of the "patent" office secretary Regula Gabrielli. In the television series Sankt Maik (2018) she embodies, also in a continuous series lead role, the parsonage keeper Maria Bähme, who Maik ( Daniel Donskoy ) believes to be the new incumbent of the parish. In November 2018, Banzhaf was seen in the ZDF crime series SOKO Cologne in an episode role as a suspect bank employee and secret lover.

Banzhaf also appeared in several commercials . She has lived in the Hamburg district of Barmbek since 1993 .
