Torsten Ranft

Torsten Ranft (* 1961 in Leipzig ) is a German actor .

Live and act

After his basic military service with the NVA's 28th Motorized Rifle Regiment in Rostock , Ranft studied acting at the Leipzig Theater School from 1982 to 1984 . From 1985 to 1989 he studied at the Ernst Busch School in Berlin .

This was followed by a theater engagement at the Kleistbühne in Frankfurt (Oder) , the Volksbühne in Berlin , the Schauspielhaus Bochum , the Bremen Theater , the Staatsschauspiel in Hanover and the Schauspielhaus Hamburg . Since the 2009/10 season he has been part of the ensemble of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden .

Ranft also starred in various productions of film and television. He was best known in the lead role of the Police Call 110 episode The Crossword Puzzle Case (1988).
