Pierre Kiwitt
Pierre Kiwitt (born February 3, 1977 in Munich ) is a German - French actor .
Life
Family and education
Kiwitt's mother was French and his father German. He grew up bilingual with German and French as equal mother tongues. In Munich he attended the Lycée Jean Renoir . After graduating from high school, Kiwitt initially completed a banking apprenticeship at the request of his father . He initially worked as a bank clerk in the counter service, later he acted as a stock trader in stocks. However, he soon realized that this job was not right for him. He was discovered at the bank counter by an acting agent who referred him to his future acting teacher. From 2000 to 2005 he took acting and voice training lessons from Gerd Udo Feller in Munich. Further studies took place at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles (2002), at the improvisational theater school "Fast Food Theater" (2003) and at the Theater Academy Cologne (2004). In 2004, he finally quit his job at the bank and finally decided to act. From 2004 to 2005 he also completed training as a stuntman in Cologne . Workshops in Meisner technology and camera work followed later . a. 2013 at the Actor Studio "Die Gasstelle" with Sigrid Anderson in Berlin .
Theater works
From 2004 to 2006 he played with independent theater groups in Munich (including the FestSpielHaus Munich , the Vollmarhaus-Theater, the Theater am Oberanger / Oberangertheater), and did street theater and improvisational theater . He also worked as a waiter in Munich because he couldn't really make a living from his work. Later he continued to play the theater occasionally; However, the focus of his work as an actor is now film and television. In 2010 he played the role of Said in The Walls by Jean Genet at the Leo 17 / Theater on Leopoldstrasse in Munich . In 2013 he played the role of Garcin in Sartre's play Closed Society in the “Nachtasyl” of the Thalia Theater in Hamburg .
Movie and TV
From 2003 Kiwitt worked in German, French and international productions for film and television. He initially worked in television films (including Girls No. 1 on ProSieben ), diploma films and short films. Mostly it was about free engagements in films by university graduates and media designers. At the end of 2006, based on a profile in the Spotlight actor directory, he received the offer to participate in a telenovela for the Brazilian broadcaster TV Globo . He got the role after a casting, in which he was able to prevail against 140 competitors. He then learned Portuguese at short notice and worked out the role with a personal assistant. From March 2007 he was in front of the camera for the telenovela Eterna Magia in Brazil. In a total of 147 episodes, alongside Malu Mader as pianist Eva Sullivan, he played the role of the initially charming Irish doctor Peter Gallagher, who eventually becomes a villain and drives his former love Eva crazy with intrigues, pills and drugs. In Brazil he achieved a high profile with his role. When he returned to Munich as a telenovela star at the end of 2007, he was still largely unknown here.
Back in Europe, he starred in independent films and television productions. In 2007 he was seen alongside Axel Milberg , Tom Schilling , Gabrielle Scharnitzky and Leslie Malton in the independent film Beside the Track by Detlef Bothe, shot in December 2005 / January 2006 . In the two-part television film Stauffenberg - The True Story (2009) he played Berthold Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg , the older brother of the Hitler assassin Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg . In the disaster film Factor 8 - The day has come (2009) he played the role of epidemic protection officer Dr. Equestrian. In the movie Beside my Brother (2011), Kiwitt played the two identical twins with the same name Thomas in a double role . In the Spanish movie El regreso de Elías Urquijo (2013) he played the title role, the enigmatic children's author Elías Urquijo. In the movie Saphirblau (2014) he played the role of Lancelot de Villiers.
From February 2015 to March 2015 (episode 2161 to episode 2183) Pierre Kiwitt was seen in the ARD series Sturm der Liebe . He embodied the role of the Scottish professional rugby player and charismatic daredevil Ian McPherson, who upsets the love life of bartender Natascha Schweitzer ( Melanie Wiegmann ).
Kiwitt also had episode roles in the television series Siska (2007), SOKO 5113 (2008 and 2009), Die Rosenheim-Cops (2009 and 2014), SOKO Stuttgart (2011), Forsthaus Falkenau (2012), Der Landarzt (2013; as a patient with a brain tumor ), In all friendship (2013; as the owner of a fish shop), cheerful to fatal: Hauptstadtrevier (2014; as a car mechanic), Kripo Holstein - Mord und Meer (2014; as a new friend of the murder victim) and alarm for Cobra 11 - Die Motorway Police (2015, as SEK head of operations Niklas Fröhlich).
In November 2015, Kiwitt starred in the ZDF series Heartbreaker - Father of Four Sons in a leading role in the episode. He embodied Paul Weiss, a college friend of Pastor Andreas Tabarius ( Simon Böer ), whose wife wants to have a child at all costs. In October 2016, Kiwitt was seen in the ZDF television series Inga Lindström in the film Welcome to Life in a leading role as the author Ben. In the television film Strawberries in Spring , a film from the Rosamunde Pilcher television series , which premiered on ZDF in November 2016, Kiwitt played the gallery owner Eric Teague, an indebted lord and partner of the main female character Lilly ( Zoe Moore ). In the 2nd season of the TV series Charité (2019), Kiwitt embodied the Nazi resistance fighter Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg alongside Ulrich Noethen and Maximilian Klas . From the 7th film in the TV series Der Zürich-Krimi , Borchert und die tödliche Trap , which premiered in January 2020, Kiwitt took over the role of Swiss police captain Marco Furrer as the successor to Felix Kramer .
