Gerd Udo Feller

Gerd Udo Feller (born April 12, 1943 in Dillingen / Saar ) is a German actor , speaker , singer and theater director .

biography

Feller completed a degree at the Oscar von Schab drama school , solo singing at the Musikhochschule in Munich and a degree in German at the universities of Freiburg and Munich. From 1975 to 1980 he was a co-founder of the Theater im Forum in Stuttgart and taught at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts . There he founded the drama school workshop for theater work . In 1980 and 1981 he was senior director of the Kammerspiele Paderborn .

From 1981 to 2007 he worked as a freelance director. He was also a founding member and director of the Theater of Publication in Munich until 1992. There he staged the world premieres of Max Beckmann's Ebbi (1981) and Das Hotel (1984) as well as the German premiere of Bruno Bayens Schliemann at the Munich Theater Festival.

You could see him on TV a. a. in stories from old Simpl , Klenze , father against his will and crime scene . From 1995 to 2007 he played the school director Friedrich Dettmer at Marienhof . Feller can also be seen in the advertising campaign for the RWE auto power since August 25, 2009 as Mr. Ahrens on television.

As a vocal soloist, he performed with Robert Schumanns Dichterliebe at the Meraner Music Festival and Michail Glinkas Ruslan and Ljudmila at the Lower Saxony Music Days. He also sang a. a. Arnold Schönberg's Gurre-Lieder and Franz Schubert's Winterreise . For the record label Naxos he recorded several literary audio books with interpretations and recitations by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe , Heinrich Heine , Franz Kafka and ETA Hoffmann from 1998 to 2003 .
