Felicitas Korn

Felicitas Korn (* 1974 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German film director , screenwriter and novelist.

Life

Felicitas Korn worked as an actor in the ensemble of the Frankfurt English Speaking Theater during her school days. In addition, she also directed the theater group of the Bischof-Neumann-Schule in Königstein im Taunus .

After completing her school education, Felicitas Korn initially studied from 1993 to 2006 at the Munich University of Television and Film in the fields of television journalism, documentary film, screenwriting and directing. During her studies, she completed a semester abroad at the National School of Film and TV in Leeds. In 2008, Dieter Wardetzky continued his advanced training in film dramaturgy and acting at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. Part-time she worked a. a. as guest manager and presenter of the Hofer Filmtage, lecturer for numerous institutions (including Kinowelt, Bavaria, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg), dramaturgical advisor at BR-Arte and film acting and dramaturgy lecturer.

Her award-winning erotic drama appearance received great national and international attention. The film starring Henriette Heinze and Golo Euler , which premiered at the Hofer Filmtage in 2006 , was among others. a. Awarded Best New Director Award at Brooklyn International Film Festival . The film has also been shown at other festivals, including a. in Edinburgh , São Paulo and Łódź .

Korn was also the author and director of the music clip Supergirl by the band Reamonn , which reached number 1 in the MTV charts and number 4 in the German charts in 2000. She also writes for various television formats, e.g. B. SOKO Leipzig . In February 2020, Kampa Verlag published her first novel Drei Leben lang .
