Christoph Gareisen

Christoph Gareisen (born January 2, 1962 in Augsburg ) is a German television and theater actor .

Life

Professional background

Gareisen received his acting training from 1980 to 1984 at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich . After his training he played at the city theaters in Heilbronn, Bielefeld and in Munich at the Kammerspiele under Dieter Dorn , before he was engaged for many years at the Vienna Burgtheater under Claus Peymann . Most recently he moved to Berlin and played at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz under the direction of Thomas Ostermeier, among others .

Private

Gareisen grew up in Augsburg and - after many years in Vienna - lived in St. Agatha on Lake Maggiore and then in the Munich area on a disused farm. He currently lives in Berlin. He is married and has a son and a daughter.
