Thomas "Tom" Helmut Beck (born February 26, 1978 in Nuremberg ) is a German actor , singer and entrepreneur .

Singer and actor

Beck grew up in the Nuremberg exclave Brunn and graduated from the New High School in Nuremberg in 1998 . He then completed from 1999 to 2003 his acting training at the Bavarian Theater Academy in Munich in the degree program Musical . His teachers included u. a. Marina buses . He finished his training with his diploma thesis, the solo Beck-Stage program . Beck was trained in dance and music. Beck sang three of the songs in the soundtrack for From Deep Space .

Beck played and sang in two bands, the last one, King Schlayer , he left in 2001 after the sophomore year.

After receiving an award at the national singing competition in 2001, Beck was engaged as an actor in musicals between 2005 and 2007. Since 2004 he has appeared in various television productions. From autumn 2008 to the end of 2013, Beck was seen in the action series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei alongside Erdoğan Atalay as Chief Inspector Ben Jäger. On September 28, 2012 Beck announced his departure from the series on the Bülent Ceylan Show . The last episode with Beck aired in December 2013. In 2019 he returned for a guest appearance.

His first single, Sexy , was released on March 11, 2011 , which went straight to number 50 in the singles charts two weeks later. On March 25, 2011 his first album Superficial Animal was released , which rose to number 36 in the German album charts. His second album Americanized was released on October 5, 2012 .

Beck has lived in Cologne since working for Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei .

In the summer of 2013, Tom Beck took part in the game show Blow the Star and won. In October 2013, he took part in the TV total Stock Car Crash Challenge and came in 4th. In February 2014 he also took part in the TV total PokerStars.de night show.

In 2015 he played the main male role of police advisor Felix Winterberg in the Sat.1 television film Einstein alongside Annika Ernst . He also took on the role in the television series of the same name since January 2017 .

In 2016 he took part in the TV show Grill den Henssler . In the game show Schlag den Star , he prevailed against Daniel Aminati in 2016 and won 100,000 euros.

In 2020 he became the winner of the second season of the ProSieben show The Masked Singer .

Marketing Entrepreneur

Beck is co-owner of the marketing and management company Check One Two Perfect GmbH , which, in addition to its social media presence, also looks after the YouTubers Bianca Claßen (“BibisBeautyPalace”) and Julian Claßen (“Julienco”).

Beck came under criticism in February 2015 as the manager of the German YouTuber Bianca Heinicke (now Claßen) for the joint business practice. Heinicke had recommended a watch for around 250 euros in one of her videos. In doing so, however, she had kept silent about generating income from a purchase via the affiliate web link she offered . Beck was then accused by the moderator of Neo Magazin Royale Jan Böhmermann of operating a business model with "[a] mixture of the coolness of QVC combined with the seriousness and transparency of 9Live ". Through the product placements, he says, “13-year-olds pay their rent”.

Private

Tom Beck has been in a relationship with actress Chryssanthi Kavazi since 2015 and has been married since August 2018. On November 9, 2019, he became the father of a son.
