action

Michael Hagen has promised his wife Rebecca that after 10 years they can finally catch up on their honeymoon, which was previously not possible due to his work as a hotel manager. But his boss Brinkmann thwarted his plans again: he was supposed to go straight to Mallorca and find out what was going wrong in the luxurious hotel "El Sol". The former 5-star hotel has only recently lost a star, guests are leaving in a hurry and sales are plummeting.

Since Hagen has already booked his dream vacation in the Maldives , he tries to defend himself, but when his boss tells him about possible staff cuts in the company and his ambitious colleague Julia Sander offers to take over his position, he gives in. However, he does not dare to tell his wife the truth and turn her down again because of his work. So he takes her to his work assignment to Mallorca, where he wants to hide his work from her and fake her carefree honeymoon.

Arriving at the hotel, Hagen finds the former general manager frozen in a freezer, who recently died of a heart attack. He declares Ramon Vasquez, a hotel employee from Aragon , to be his successor. When he tells that the hotel is haunted and that strange creatures are up to mischief, he doesn't want to believe it at first, but is then taught a lesson when he meets a ghost.

Julia Sander, who had firmly expected a promotion, has in the meantime listened to a phone call between Brinkmann and Hagen in which Brinkmann talked badly about her and said that he preferred Hagen to her. Thereupon she sets off on the trip to Mallorca and takes a room in the hotel without being recognized.

The reason for the mysterious occurrences in the hotel is the occultist Van Haal, who once appeared there as a magician, but who opened a gate to hell. Ramon's uncle Pepe burned down the old hotel 50 years ago when he fought against Van Haal and banished him through the gate to hell. Pepe explains to Hagen and Vasquez that Van Haal wants to come back from hell and that they should intercept him in the fortress above the hotel. When they are attacked by a fire-breathing creature, they can turn it back into a little dog thanks to a bottle of magical cat tears received from Pepe.

In the meantime, Julia Sander has secretly recorded videos of the devastation in the hotel and sent them to Brinkmann. Thereupon Hagen is fired by his boss.

The hotel entertainer Toni was meanwhile possessed by Van Haal's powers and made his helper. He should bring him a pregnant woman and thus an unborn soul. Since Toni could not procure an unborn soul, he abducts Rebecca without further ado, in order to later impregnate her. Van Haal is angry because Toni has failed and the window of opportunity is closing for him. But then Van Haal begins to materialize on earth through the gates of hell, apparently Rebecca was already pregnant by her husband. But Rebecca manages just in time to destroy a prism used for the transition, through which Van Haal is still connected. So he is thrown back into hell and the gate closes again.

Reviews

“Turbulent (TV) ghost comedy with slapstick interludes; the ghost apparitions were animated with 3D technology. "

“Of course, everyone involved puts it on really thick. When the ghost hunters go on a ghost hunt with holy water, garlic, sharpened stakes and silver bullets, it is almost a parody of a horror film; Slapstick is a thing of the past anyway. But this film produced by Hermann Joha is still fun. "

“The gags are stale and often repeat themselves. The series experienced actors fight with the more cute than scary ghosts, which are, however, perfectly animated. They are the secret stars of the film, which is otherwise completely over the top and blooming nonsense. "

- The west

“If the jokes are delivered at exactly the right moment and with full dedication, then the plot can be completely stupid - you still have to laugh again and again at the RTL comedy“ Geister all inclusive ”. [..] There is a lot of skill in this production and not least in the animation of the ghosts. Such an effort is not exactly natural for a television film. "
