Nicholas Glowna

Nikolaus Glowna (* 1961 in Munich ) is a German film music composer .

Life

Glowna comes from a relationship between the actors Vera Chekhova and Hartmut Reck . After Chekhova married her colleague Vadim Glowna in 1967 , the latter adopted Nicholas. Between 1980 and 1986 he studied composition and arrangement at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and conducting at the Boston Conservatory. Here he took part in workshops with Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams .

Since completing his studies, Glowna has been responsible as a film music composer for numerous feature films, television films and series, for which he has already received several awards.

He is a guest lecturer at the Ludwigsburg Film Academy and at the Summer Academy of the University of Mainz .
