Hartmut Reck
Hartmut Reck (born November 17, 1932 in Berlin ; † January 30, 2001 in Nienburg / Weser ) was a German film actor and voice actor .
Life
Hartmut Reck made his debut under Bertolt Brecht at the Berliner Ensemble and has been in front of the camera as an actor since 1956, initially at DEFA . In 1959 he moved to the Federal Republic. The best-known feature film in which he took part was the American war film The Longest Day , produced in 1962 , in which, in addition to many American stars, a number of German actors such as Wolfgang Büttner and Wolfgang Preiss can be seen. In 1965 he played in the Edgar Wallace film The Unheimliche Mönch on the side of Karin Dor and Harald Leipnitz .
But most of all he worked for television. In 1959 he played the title role in the film Raskolnikoff , which was based on the novel Guilt and Atonement by Fyodor Michailowitsch Dostojewski . Also starring were Paul Verhoeven , Solveig Thomas , Uwe Friedrichsen and Ernst Fritz Fürbringer to see. In 1962 he starred in another film adaptation of the novel Everyone dies for himself by Hans Fallada . The main roles were played by Edith Schultze-Westrum , Alfred Schieske and Wolfgang Kieling . He was also often seen in guest roles in crime series such as Der Kommissar and Tatort .
Since 1988 he was known to a wide audience as Inspector Ecki Schöller in the television series Die Männer vom K3 .
He also dubbed actors such as Anthony Hopkins , John Hurt , Robert Duvall , Michael Caine , Donald Sutherland , Peter Graves , Patrick Stewart , Franco Nero and Terence Hill (including the first dubbed version of Four Fists for a Hallelujah ).
Hartmut Reck is the father of the film composer Nikolaus Glowna (from a relationship with Vera Chekhova ) and two daughters. He died of a heart attack and is buried in the Obermenzing forest cemetery in Munich.
