The Waldfriedhof Obermenzing is located in the Obermenzing district of the state capital Munich . The cemetery complex on Bergsonstrasse is a protected monument .

history

The Obermenzing cemetery was opened in 1913 by the then independent municipality of Obermenzing. There are around 3,600 graves in the Obermenzing cemetery. The cemetery area covers 8.02 hectares . The neoclassical mourning hall with a pillar portal was built in 1912/13 based on designs by Adolf Fraas .
