Sylvia Leuker

Sylvia Leuker (* 1962 ; † April 14, 2019 ) was a German journalist and screenwriter .

Life

Sylvia Leuker was born in 1962 in the Ruhr area .

In 1982 she graduated from high school and was then accepted at the German School of Journalism in Munich . In 1988 she graduated from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich with a degree in journalism . From 1988 to 1998 she worked as a radio and television journalist; Most recently she worked as a freelancer in the domestic policy department of Focus .

After first attempts at scriptwriting, she graduated from the Munich script workshop in 1995/1996 . She then worked as a freelance screenwriter. She co-authored several of her scripts with her partner Benedikt Röskau . She was a member of the German Academy for Television (DAfF) and the Association of German Scriptwriters (VDD).

Sylvia Leuker died on April 14, 2019 after a serious illness. She left her partner Benedikt Röskau and their son.
