Silke Bodenbender (born January 31, 1974 in Bonn ) is a German actress .

life and career

Silke Bodenbender was born in 1974 as the daughter of the future North Rhine-Westphalian State Secretary Wolfgang Bodenbender .

During her training at the Schauspiel München (1996–1999) she played at the Southeast Bavarian City Theater . Engagements at the Schauspielhaus Dortmund , the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus , the Schaubühne Berlin and the Nationaltheater Mannheim followed. In 2018 she became a member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel Stuttgart .

She made a successful debut in film in 2005 with the lead role in the award-winning debut film by the German-Egyptian filmmaker Samir Nasr , Consequences (including the Civis Prize and the Golden Gate in San Francisco). Shortly afterwards she had her breakthrough with the lead role in Dieter Wedel's television film Papa und Mama . Several films in which she participated afterwards - for example B. Silver Wedding (2006) and Beyond Death (2009) - were nominated for the Grimme Prize .

Bodenbender herself was awarded the German Television Prize in the category Best Supporting Actress in 2008 for her performance in A Serious Affair and The Youngest Court . In Niki Stein's TV film Until Nothing Remains , she took on the role of fanatical Scientology supporter Gine Reiners . Also under his direction, she played the lead roles in the war returning drama Reunion with a Stranger and in Father Mother Murderer . For her role as mother in the latter, she was awarded the FIPA d'or Grand Prize as best actress at the Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuels in Biarritz in 2012. She was also in 2010 and 2013 in the category German Best Actress for the Golden Camera and in 2012 and 2014 nominated for the German Television Award.

Silke Bodenbender has a son (* 2010) and a daughter (* 2014). She lives in Berlin-Schöneberg .
