Christmas angel to kiss not a German-Austrian television film directed by Michael Kreihsl from the year 2011. The comedy based on a common script by Alexander Mahler and Eva Spreitzhofer is an adaptation of the eponymous Romas of Sophie Andresky , the 2002 Lübbe-Verlag published and is about model and advertising jingle singer Lina, played by Silke Bodenbender , who is forced to choose between two men for Christmas when she unexpectedly meets the reindeer herder Rudolf while doing a photo job as a Christ child .

The romantic Christmas film was made by Frames Filmproduktion in co-production with ZDF and ORF and shot between March and April 2011 in Vienna , Kitzbühel , Kufstein and the Innsbruck area. In addition to Bodenbender, Simon Schwarz , Alwara Höfels , Merab Ninidze , Jürgen Maurer , Michael Ostrowski and Marion Mitterhammer appeared in front of the camera. For model and advertising jingle singer Lina, the pre-Christmas season is once again busy. Together with friend Nettie, owner of an event and partner agency, she moves from one second-rate casual job to the next. When they meet reindeer herder Rudolf and his manager and friend Manfred for the first part of a photo shoot series in which Lina has to serve as the Christ Child , Lina and Rudolf initially encounter each other with antipathy: while Lina looks like an eccentric model to him, she leaves nature boy behind Rudolf made a strange impression on her.

That same evening, Lina finds compensation when her long-term affair, Alex, unexpectedly appears at the door. The successful doctor reveals to her that he has finally separated from his wife in order to finally be able to enter into a stable relationship with Lina. Overjoyed, Lina spends the night with him before she sets off for Tyrol the next day with Nettie to take part in the second part of the photo shoot. Back on the way to Vienna, Lina discovers that her cell phone has accidentally landed with Rudi. When she breaks down her car because of all the anger and stress, she feels compelled not only to get to know Tyrol better, but also Rudi.

Financial support came from the Austrian Television Fund (RTR), the Vienna Film Fund and Cine Tirol. Thomas Bogner appeared as a producer; the editing on ZDF was with Martin R. Neumann. The shooting took place from March 14 to April 15, 2011 in Vienna , Kitzbühel , Kufstein and the Innsbruck area , including Hopfgarten am Penningberg and Wildschönau .

" You don't kiss Christmas angels like the title of the ZDF comedy suggests: as a weak Sat.1 movie clone," said Rainer Tittelbach from Tittelbach.tv . The film initially bobbed around "for minutes" before "finally some Ösi-Schmäh came into play" and Silke Bodenbender and Simon Schwarz set "first scent brands".
