Sylvia Berger is just finishing her law degree and will then take over the family business. On the 65th birthday of her father Carl, she learns that the company is bankrupt and her parents tell her that she does not trust her to save the family business. Carl now insists that cousin Manuela and her husband take over the business. Sylvia is very disappointed in her family. She finds support in the young Rico, with whom she enters into a sexual relationship and catches syphilis in the process .
