German Comedy Award 2018
The presentation of the German Comedy Prize 2018 took place on October 7, 2018 as part of the International Cologne Comedy Festival in Cologne . The moderator of the event was Carolin Kebekus , who was nominated three times alongside Luke Mockridge .
The award ceremony was broadcast live on RTL for the first time . The prize was awarded in eleven categories, one less than in 2017 , and the Best Actress / Best Actor category was dropped compared to the previous year.

The awards for the special prize, the most successful live act and the best newcomer were given by the organizer, Köln Comedy Festival GmbH , without prior nomination. A jury of experts decided on the remaining award winners on the day of the award ceremony. The jury president was Mirja Boes and the jury chairman Ralf Günther . Other jury members were Chris Geletneky , Jochen Winter (freelance writer), René Jamm (Warner Bros.), Andrea Achterberg (director) and Anja Rützel .
