Sträter's male household was a comedy and talk show with the slam poet , cabaret artist and comedy writer Torsten Sträter, produced by Prime Productions GmbH and broadcast for the first time on WDR television (9:45 p.m.) from May 7, 2016 to April 13, 2019 .

concept

Sträter, who comes from Dortmund in the Ruhr area , invited two prominent guests to his show. The program consisted of solo elements such as literature for the night or Zeuch von you , clips (e.g. sewing! Ironing! Canned beer! - household tips for real men! Or Sträter Unterwegs ) and conversations with his guests. The first thing he asked each time was: What is home for you? . At the end, the guests received a hat (a beanie , the Sträter trademark) from the host, who worked as a trained men's tailor . The show was recorded in the Steffy discotheque in Oberhausen .

Initially, only one broadcast was planned. In November 2016 it was announced that the personality show will continue with further episodes.

Sträter's male household was nominated for the German Comedy Award 2017 and 2018 in the category Best Comedy Show .

On April 1, 2019, it was announced that the last regular episode of the show would run on April 13. After 20 episodes (19 episodes and the special Santa Claus household ) the show ended.

The follow-up program called Sträter is scheduled to go on air in spring 2020.

Episodes and Guests

Nineteen regular episodes were aired. On September 30, 2017, a one-hour best of with the best conversations from previous programs was shown as a special . In November 2018 there was a Best of 2018 . At Christmas 2018 a 90-minute Christmas special was broadcast with guests Dieter Nuhr, Carolin Kebekus and Atze Schröder.
