Wolfgang Trepper (born May 9, 1961 in Duisburg-Rheinhausen ) is a German cabaret artist and presenter .

Live and act

Trepper worked as a sports official in the 1990s. From 1992 he was the first full-time handball manager in Germany at OSC Rheinhausen . Under Trepper's leadership, the team was promoted to the Bundesliga in the 1992/93 season , and was relegated again in the 1993/94 season . After rising again in 1995, Trepper ended his management function.

From 1997 to 2002, Trepper moderated the satire show Streichzart at the local radio station Radio Duisburg together with Marc Weiss, and from 1998 to June 2007 worked as head of the station's service. He moderated the follow-up program Treppers Peppers until the beginning of 2007. In 2003 he began a career as a professional cabaret artist when, after his first appearance at the Schmidt Theater in Hamburg, the director Corny Littmann advised him to give up his radio activity and go on tour. To date, Trepper has staged 22 programs in which he also takes up socially critical and literary topics. Since May 2006 he is u. a. Regular guest at the Schmidt-Theater and the Quatsch Comedy Club , at the Wühlmäusen in Berlin , in the Mainz Unterhaus , in the Bremen Fritz-Theater and in the Duisburger Grammatikoff. Trepper performs around 275 live performances across Germany every year.

In February 2007 he made his first TV appearance. On television he was in the programs, among other things, in celebrity editions of " Asked - Hunted ", Genial beside , NDR Talk Show , Kölner Treff , Bettina and Bommes , ZDF-Fernsehgarten , Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel , NightWash , Fun (k) haus , Current Schaubude , at the consumer magazine Without Guarantee on ZDF, at Vier das Volk and at Markus Lanz. Trepper is also involved in discussions in sports programs: in fan talk (Sport 1) and at one- two (Sport 1). He commented live on the event on the ARD broadcast for the 2016 Beckmann Sportschule European Football Championship . He also took part in the ZDF live broadcast for the election of “Sportsman of the Year”.

In 2011/2012 he played a leading role in the role of "Grandpa Schlönzke" in the musical No Pardon by Hape Kerkeling and Thomas Hermanns at the Capitol Theater in Düsseldorf .

Starting in 2012, he and Anastasia Zampounidis presented the series Da wird mich nil on ZDFneo for three years . In summer 2016, both of them took up the idea again in the form of the WISO consumer agents on ZDF.

Trepper has also appeared in the Rhenish carnival since 2013 (TV sessions such as Wider den tierischen Ernst , Typisch Kölsch and Düsseldorf Helau ), and since the 2013/2014 session he has had around 100 appearances there. In 2013, 2014 and 2016 he moderated the big Hamburg charity gala Night of Legends , with Ina Müller , Peter Maffay , Udo Lindenberg , Roland Kaiser , Revolverheld and Howard Carpendale , among others .

From 2015 to 2019 he was on tour with Mary Roos with their joint program Hookers, Coke and Fresh Strawberries . In this show he dismantled the products of the genre as a "hit hater". This has been continued since 2020 with more hookers, more coke - fuck the strawberries .

Wolfgang Trepper lives in Hamburg-Langenhorn .

Trepper has been involved for years by collecting donations and the like. a. for the support association of a Duisburg kindergarten , for the social facility Livingroom Duisburg, for the hospice "Hamburg Leuchtfeuer" and the Dirk-Bach-Haus in Cologne. The special thing about it is the way the donation is collected: the cabaret artist collects the donations personally. According to his ideas, he can be found in the foyer or entrance area of ​​the venue at a standing table with a large, red women's handbag as a collection container, which also accompanies him on stage. Trepper has also been supporting the NRW Social Fund since 2015.
