Comedy Club Bremen

The Comedy Club is a series of events in Bremen in which various stand-up artists show excerpts from their current programs. The Comedy Club Bremen is moderated by Malte Janssen, Mario Roggow and Malte Völz.

history

The series of events begins on March 7, 2008 with a special, the Comedy Night on the Schlachte . Seven comedians appear in one evening in seven different bars on the Schlachte promenade in Bremen. A stylized smiley serves as a trademark and the motto is “Bremen is funny”. The idea behind the Comedy Club Bremen is that as a Bremer you don't have to go to Hamburg, Berlin or Cologne to have a laugh for an evening. Since April 10, 2008, a Comedy Club evening has been held every first Thursday of the month, with three comedians each, in changing locations in Bremen's gastronomy. Bremen Vier Moderator Simon Beeck moderated the Comedy Club evenings until June 2011, from January 2012 Malte Janssen, also Bremen Vier moderator. The Comedy Club Bremen found a new home in November 2010 in the event theater Fritz , but the Comedy Club is still “on tour” in Bremen and the Bremen area. Mario Roggow, Comedy Club presenter from the very beginning, and Bremen Vier presenter Malte Völz are the hosts.

In the Comedy Talent Show, as yet unknown comedians, from Bremen and all over Germany, have the chance to perform in front of a large audience and qualify for the Comedy Prize in the young talent category.

Comedy Prize

Once a year the Comedy Club Bremen awards the Comedy Prize. The prices are determined by the visitors to the monthly Comedy Club evenings by submitting a voting slip.
