history
The Fritz was opened in November 2010 in the city center as an entertainment theater. In an empty cinema on Herdentorsteinweg, not only the Fritz found a home with its program, but also the Comedy Club Bremen . The former cinema film studio Atelier was built in 1955 by Hans-Albert Schlemm. His son Thomas - also an architect - transformed the cinema into a theater using the original construction plans. The Fritz in its current construction variant opened its doors to the basement hall for the first time on November 18, 2010. Above the entrance door of the gastronomic entertainment theater is the motto "In Bremen you go to the cellar to laugh". The program includes a "colorful mixture of variety and opera, children's theater and comedy, travesty and casting shows, parties and musicals, improv theater and ballroom dancing."
The Fritz celebrated its first anniversary in November 2011 and has established itself in the Bremen cultural scene. Fritz GmbH received the founder award in 2012.
