Hans Werner Olm (born February 1, 1955 in Bochum ) is a German cabaret artist , actor , singer and voice actor .

Life

The trained confectioner moved to Berlin in 1975 and performed as a cabaret artist in clubs. In 1976 he founded, together with Jürgen von der Lippe , Beppo Pohlmann , Harald Gribkowsky, Harald Wolff and Hans Marquardt the brothers Blattschuss . The group released their first stupid songs in 1976 - familiar melodies were underlaid with new lyrics. He then worked as a freelance stand-up comedian and drew attention to himself with various television appearances and films, including with Mike Krüger and Thomas Gottschalk in the comedy Zwei Nasen tanken Super . Between 1983 and 1986 he was a gag writer, editor and presenter for the program Guten Morgen Deutschland on Radio Luxemburg. In the following years he made a name for himself with solo programs, television appearances and his own TV shows.

In April 2002, Olm started its own weekly television personality show, OLM! at RTL . His portrayal of extraordinary characters such as Paul Schrader and Luise Koschinsky earned him popularity and was awarded the German Comedy Prize in 2004. Nevertheless, the program was canceled by RTL. From January 15, 2006, ProSieben OLM ran for a few weeks. There he played various characters, for example the entrepreneurs Gunther Terbrüggen and Paul Schrader, the singing hippie Iff, the gruff Luise Koschinsky or the lifeguard Bernd.

He had guest roles in TV series such as Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei and Adelheid and their murderers . Olm is also a guest on Sesame Street . He also had appearances in the TV shows Die Comedy -fallen , Nachgussy , Genial beside , Sketch-Attack , Frei Schnauze , Celebrity Quiz Taxi , Voll funny , Veronas Welt , Peep! , Riverboat , Ottis Schlachthof , RTL Saturday Night , Lippe's laugh mix , please ?! , Mike Krüger Show and in the comedy series Dittsche .

Musician

With his project Sing dein Ding , he first appeared on stage in 2006 as a singer and parodist of pop and rock songs. This program was recorded by the RBB . The band had a special appearance in August 2011 in the Castrop-Rauxel prison in front of inmates and visitors to the prison with the Jailhouse Rock program . His current band members are Buzz Dee Baur, Carsten Klick, Chris Erbse, Ingo York and Michael Lehrmann. In the summer of 2009 he dedicated four football anthems to his home club VfL Bochum with the CD Power im Revier . To mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 2009, the Berliner by choice covered the song Berlin, Berlin - Your Heart Knows No Walls and produced his first music video for it.

As a dubbing voice, Olm appeared as Madame Gasket in Robots , Professor Snork in Felix 2 - The Bunny and the Darn Time Machine and as Grandma Pucket in The Little Red Riding Hood Conspiracy . In 2009, he spoke the role of the elm in the audio book series Wickie and the strong men and as Aladin in the audio book production Wupp - Die Dimensionjäger . In the interactive audio book Perry Rhodan Tamer , Hans Werner Olm lent his voice to “Spider”.
