Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel is a Saturday evening entertainment show on ZDF that is moderated and produced by Carmen Nebel . In 2019, Nebel's ZDF contract was extended to 2021. However, the broadcast ends in 2020.

Content of the broadcast

The live broadcast includes talk with guests and all kinds of music, especially hits , pop music , oldies and classical music . The guests are national and international personalities from film, television, politics and music. The German Show Ballet Berlin was an integral part of the program until 2016.

Production and broadcast

The program is produced by TeeVee Produktions GmbH on behalf of ZDF, lasts 150 minutes and is broadcast three times a year at 8:15 p.m. on ZDF. Since January 2011 the show has had a new stage and is broadcast in HDTV .

In addition, several CDs and DVDs with songs from the programs were released.

history

The broadcast started on January 31, 2004 in Magdeburg . Right at the beginning, Carmen Nebel had a losing bet from the show Wetten, dass ..? redeem by incorporating five words given by Thomas Gottschalk into the introduction:

“Ladies and gentlemen, I am very pleased that you are with me when my new shipment is launched. And first of all, I can promise you that you will see so many stars this evening. There are lots of interesting guests, we celebrate premieres and we won't skimp on surprises. And everyone of you who has ever visited the inside of a concrete mixer because of diarrhea to save the practice fee , knows that this form of bargain hunting usually ends with problems up to your navel . "

The broadcast on April 2, 2005 (episode 8) from Hof was the first entertainment broadcast in the history of ZDF television that was prematurely canceled. The reason for this was the death of Pope John Paul II that evening. The rest of the interrupted broadcast was recorded but not broadcast (apart from a five-minute summary of the highlights).

While setting up the lighting system for the broadcast on September 26, 2009 (episode 35) from Duisburg , a technician fell unsecured from a height of eight meters and died shortly afterwards of serious injuries.

In the broadcast of March 6, 2010 (episode 39) from Leipzig , the originally invited Yvonne Catterfeld was not allowed to appear and advertise her new single Blau im Blau . The reason for this was a non-compliance with the exclusivity clause. Catterfeld was supposed to perform this single for the first time in this broadcast and not a week before on the NDR talk show 3 after 9 .

On November 12, 2011, in the eighth year of its existence, the 50th episode of Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel was broadcast live from Dortmund .

On December 9, 2018, ZDF broadcast a best of for the first time . It was a 130-minute cut from 77 programs.

Special appearances

On October 30, 2010 and November 17, 2012, the band Unheilig, originally from the gothic scene , appeared on the show, which led to heated discussions among the band's fans. Public spirit and social commitment

2 November 2008 fog led in Ludwigshafen for the first time by the ZDF - fundraiser hand in hand , where celebrities for the work of the German Cancer Aid collected. In 2018, the ZDF broadcast from Berlin on September 29th became a successful anniversary event for Carmen Nebel: Ten years of charity gala for the German Cancer Aid and its comprehensive fight against the widespread disease of cancer. The moderator and numerous prominent guests asked for support, which resulted in 3.2 million euros in donations for the work of the German Cancer Aid. In addition to the television programs, Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel went on tour in 2016.
