Beatrice Egli
Beatrice Margerite Egli (born June 21, 1988 in Lachen SZ ) is a Swiss pop singer and presenter . She is the winner of the tenth season of the RTL casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar .
youth
Egli was born in Lachen in the canton of Schwyz in 1988 . At 14, she began taking singing lessons and singing at popular festivals . She completed an apprenticeship as a hairdresser and worked in this profession for a year. In 2011 she completed an acting training at the School for Drama Hamburg . She lived with her two older and younger brothers in their parents' house in Pfäffikon SZ until she was 28 years old . In 2016 she moved to a nearby apartment of her own.
In 2007 Egli performed with Lys Assia ; together they released the single Tell me where do the angels live and an album of the same name. With this title, the duo won the Swiss preliminary decision for the Grand Prix of Folk Music in April 2007 . At the final in Vienna in August they reached 12th place out of 16. Assia made Egli responsible for this performance. In autumn 2007 Egli performed at the autumn festival of folk music by Florian Silbereisen . In 2009 she presented the title lipstick in the Musikantenstadl . Until then, she used her first name as a stage name, and since her third album in 2011 she has been performing under her full name.
DSDS
In May 2013, Egli won the finale of the tenth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar with 70.25 percent of the audience's votes. With one exception, she received the most viewer calls on all theme shows. She received 500,000 euros and a record deal with Universal Music . Her first single after participating in the DSDS was called Mein Herz , written and produced by Dieter Bohlen . The song entered the official German , Austrian and Swiss single charts in the first week of sales . Her studio album Glücksgefühle was released in May and entered the album charts at number two in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In the second week of sales, the album reached number one in the Swiss charts; in August it was awarded platinum in Switzerland. In Germany, too, just four weeks after the DSDS victory, her album and single were awarded gold. Her second single Now and Here Forever was released in August 2013.
