No No Never is a country song by the German group Texas Lightning from 2006. The band competed for Germany with the title as part of the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens . The song received 36 points and took 15th place. With a chart listing of 38 weeks, No No Never is the second most successful Eurovision song in Germany since 1959.

Background information

The piece was written by the band's singer, Jane Comerford . In the German preliminary round , Texas Lightning competed against Thomas Anders and Vicky Leandros and won the majority of the audience. The song sings of unshakable love for a person.

Eurovision Song Contest 2006

The rather unusual choice of a country songs for the contest and, referring to the venue of Athens ( English Athens ) was the BBC commentator Terry Wogan asked the question: "Are we in Athens, Georgia ?" ( "Are we in the city of Athens landed in the US state of Georgia? ").
