Musical career according to DSDS
Erl's first published song was called This Is My Life . The song, written by Dieter Bohlen , was only published after protests - it is said to have sounded too "like Dieter Bohlen" - and subsequent modifications by Erl. A short time later she ended her business relationship with Bohlen.
In June 2005, Erl got a new manager in Thomas M. Stein , the former BMG boss and jury member for Deutschland sucht den Superstar . At the beginning of March 2006, the song Better than the Best became the internal corporate song of Deutsche Post World Net / DHL . This was not published commercially, but sent to employees. In April 2006 the single Get Up was released , with which she was then on tour through Germany and neighboring countries under the title Back to the Rockin 'Roots .
In June 2007, the single Can't Deny It was released , the accompanying video was made in Los Angeles under the direction of Ralf Strathmann. For the second album, Erl found partners like Gary Baker and Anthony Little from Nashville . The album Moving On and the single of the same name were released in December 2007. On May 15, 2009, Erl's album Human was released on her label 1773 Records, which she founded at the end of 2008. She offers her music for download through her label.
In February 2011, her autobiographical novel Gecastet was published in the KLAR book series , in which she tells of her life before, during and after DSDS. She is a member of the musical all-star project Menschenskinder .
After the musical career
After graduating from the Anton-Bruckner-Gymnasium in Straubing , Erl studied music and sport for a secondary school teacher at the University of Regensburg until November 2005 . Today she works full-time as a teacher for music and sports at a secondary school in the Düsseldorf district of Unterbilk . In 2015 she took part in the Cologne “Loss mer singe” casting for the 2016 carnival session as part of the Tina & Elli duo. They presented handmade music with blanket trumm (timpani) and guitar and won two days in a recording studio. Erl lives in the south of Cologne.
