Further career
On November 20, 2009, Schuhmacher's German tour began with a concert in the Augsburg congress hall. In autumn 2009 his second single Honestly was released , which Schuhmacher produced for the first time without planks and with the composer Alex Christensen . Schuhmacher dubbed a singer for an episode of the American television series CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators . The episode was broadcast by RTL in autumn 2009. His third single, If It's Love , which was produced by Thorsten Brötzmann, followed in early 2010 . In addition to the uptempo song written by Florian Prengel and Boris Schmidt, the CD also contains the ballad A Million Miles Away by the Swede Per Eklund. In September 2010, Schuhmacher's fourth single Feel and his second album Nothing to Lose were released. The single Feel took 50th place in the German charts for a week; the album also reached number 37 for a week. In 2010 it was nominated for two echoes , in the categories “Best Newcomer National” and “Best Video National”. In May he won the VIVA Comet 2010 in the “Best Take-off” category. Schuhmacher was also nominated in the “Star of Stars” category. At the end of 2010, Schuhmacher's second tour of Germany followed.
In May 2011, Schuhmacher announced the separation from Neumüller. Schuhmacher's third tour in 2011 took him through ten German cities. Schuhmacher presented the audience almost exclusively with self-written songs. In December 2011 Schuhmacher released the self-written song On a New Wave . In January 2012 Schuhmacher's first live DVD I Lose Myself in the Music - An Evening with Daniel Schuhmacher followed . The DVD was produced in late summer 2011 as part of an acoustic concert. In 2012 Schuhmacher appeared as support for the British singer Marlon Roudette at his concert in Rottweil and had other festival and other live appearances. From November 2012 to January 2013, Schuhmacher again went on tour in Germany with his live band.
In August 2013, Rolling Stone released Schuhmacher's second single from his third album Diversity , which was released in October of the same year. In addition to the radio and album version, the single also contains a piano version that was recorded during a live concert in Berlin. Rolling Stone entered the German single charts at number 86. For the first time, the album contains exclusively self-written songs that deal with topics such as his musical emancipation and his development as a person. In addition to pop / rock pieces with 80s synth influences, there is also a more soulful piece and a rock number. In the production of diversity have included Jacob Hansonis , Bernhard Selbach, Chris Buseck and the band mirrors involved. The iTunes version of the album also contains the bonus track of the ballad Your Revenge , an acoustic version with piano accompaniment. At the same time, another song from the album, Gold, was released, which was also produced by Mirrors. The single also includes a non-album track, the rock song Shady , which was produced by Jacob Hansonis. In August 2014, the single Lose Control was released in collaboration with music producer and DJ Damon Paul . The piece is Schuhmacher's first electro song, and the single includes various dance versions and a ballad version . The title was listed at number 56 on the "German DJ Playlist". With the song Electric Heart , Schuhmacher applied for a wildcard for Unser Song for Austria to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 .
Together with producer Marcus Loeber, Schuhmacher published the single Small Town Boy , a cover version of Bronski Beat, as Dsfzke (abbreviation for "This search leads to no result") . The song was chosen because their singer Jimmy Somerville suffered from prejudice against same-sex relationships. The album You Want It followed on November 16, 2016.
social commitment
Since May 2011 Schuhmacher has been an ambassador for the children's aid campaign Herzenssache for disadvantaged children and young people. As part of Hard Rock Cafe Europe's Street2Sanctuary program , Schuhmacher gave a benefit concert in Berlin's Hard Rock Cafe in April 2012. The proceeds went to the Bombayteenchallenge organization , which takes care of young people in need in India. At the beginning of 2012, Schuhmacher recorded the single A New Day together with other artists . A New Day is a charity song project initiated by Holger Bauer, Rudi Schedler Musikverlag and Aktion Deutschland Hilft e. V. The single was published on December 7, 2012 and will benefit the Aktion Deutschland Hilft disaster fund. Due to his great commitment to the aftercare clinic in Tannheim and his benefit concert on July 15, 2012, Schuhmacher was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the German Childhood Cancer Aftercare - a foundation that supports the rehabilitation of chronically ill children and their families.
