Board of Trustees

A board of trustees (from the Latin cura = care , care , supervision , plural: board of trustees ) is a committee or body that has been given the task of looking after a specific project or taking care of it. Either advisory functions or supervision can come into play here. A single person on the board of trustees is also referred to as a curator . In Austria in particular , the term curator was also used as a synonym for guardian .

The term was already in use in the 18th century.

A board of trustees can, for example, be a foundation body .
