Dominik Büchele (born February 23, 1991 in Herbolzheim ) is a German singer and songwriter . He became known to a larger audience in 2009 through his participation in Deutschland sucht den Superstar .

Career

Büchele, born in 1991, comes from Kappel-Grafenhausen in southern Baden . In his youth, he gained stage experience with their own and then active local band diversion .

He received greater media attention through his participation in the sixth season of the RTL television program Deutschland sucht den Superstar . Here he retired on April 25, 2009 in the seventh motto show and was able to achieve fourth place overall.

Following DSDS , Büchele worked with music producer Thorsten Brötzmann on his debut album Ready , which was released in February 2010, and the single Closer to Heaven was released on January 29, 2010. He appeared in the opening act at concerts by Ich + Ich and the Puhdys .

On May 7, 2010, his second single Brand New Day was released. In 2011 the single Hazel Eyes followed , which, like Büchele's second album Again, made it into the charts. On his second work, there were also two original compositions by Büchele for the first time.

In 2012, Büchele performed at the Dresden City Festival , the Waltrop Park Festival and for charitable purposes.

In 2012 Büchele began studying music at the International Music College in Freiburg with a focus on songwriting and producing, which he successfully completed in 2016.

He returned to the stage in 2013 with concerts by his band Umleitung and his own compositions, which are attracting increasing media attention.

On June 20, 2014, the first self-produced demo CD Umleitung was released , which only contains original compositions. In November 2014, the first single Colors was released as a download.

In 2015 Büchele gave several concerts in various federal states from North Rhine-Westphalia to Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Baden-Württemberg to Bavaria, etc. a. for <<stadtklang>> in Neuss, at the music and culture festival "Freiburg agrees", for a cinema opening in Saarland and on the cabaret Rantastic in Baden-Baden. He performed in the Munich Olympic Hall and the Stuttgart Porsche Arena as part of the International Music Parade and in the music hall of the Stadtcasino Basel at the invitation of the Police Music Basel. Also in 2015 Büchele and friends founded the dialect pop band Rhinwaldsounds .

In 2016 the debut album Colors was released by Büchele's band Umleitung . The publication was followed by a live tour.

In 2017, Büchele followed the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mexican to the Canadian border on foot . He musically processed his experiences in new songs, starting with the single "Heading North", followed by Büchele's third solo album "The Journey", released and live premiere on February 23, 2018.
