Stark is a song of the German Pop - duo Ich + Ich . The piece is the second single from her second studio album Vom Same Stern .
Creation and artwork
The song was recorded, written and produced by Florian Fischer , Annette Humpe , Sebastian Kirchner and Adel Tawil , and the song was co-produced by Andreas Herbig. The single was mixed by Andreas Herbig, it was arranged by Axel Wernecke. The song was released under the Polydor music label . The musicians Benson, Andreas Herbig and Sebastian Kirchner have been hired as additional instrumentalists on the guitar and the musician Harry Ermer on the harmonica for this song. The strings were recorded by Andreas Herbig, while the string instruments were played by Boris Matchin, Dana Matchin and Stefan Pintev. On the cover of the maxi single, only the inscription of the artist and the song title, framed by plants, can be seen against a white background. The recordings took place in the Berlin recording studios Aquarium and Keller. The cover image was designed by Albertus Seba and the Dirk Rudolph office.
Publication and promotion
The first release of the single took place on November 9, 2007 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland . In addition to the single version, the maxi single also contains two remix versions by Stark , as well as the song Nur in mein Kopf , as a B-side . In addition to the regular maxi single, there is also a "2-track single" with the songs Stark and Nur in mein Kopf . There is also a special maxi single available for download, which has been expanded to include another remix version by Stark . For promotional purposes one was vinyl record released on the only remix versions can be found.
In order to promote the song, there was a live performance during the ZDF annual review Menschen 2008 and a joint performance with Sido during the VIVA Comet 2008 .

The lyrics to Stark are written in German. The music was written by Florian Fischer , Sebastian Kirchner and Adel Tawil , the text by Annette Humpe . Musically, the song moves in the area of pop music . The song is about everyone believing that a certain person always has everything under control and knows exactly what is going on. But this is not the case, in reality the person does not know where his head is and doubts everything he is doing at the moment.

Music video
The music video for Stark was shot in Berlin . You can see Tawil giving a concert and then taking a taxi home. The taxi is driven by Humpe. During the taxi ride, Tawil remembers past concerts and celebrations and thinks about whether his portrayal is the right one. The total length of the video is 4:03 minutes. Directed by Oliver Sommer.

Stark reached position two in the single charts in Germany and stayed in the top 10 for 19 weeks and in the charts for 45 weeks. In Austria the single reached position two and stayed in the top 10 for 13 weeks and in the charts for 37 weeks. In Switzerland the single reached position five and stayed in the top 10 for eleven weeks and in the charts for 59 weeks. Although the song did not make it to number one, it was still the most successful German-language song in the German single charts for a period of nine weeks and the most successful German-language song in the Austrian single charts for three weeks . Stark was ranked 12th in the German annual charts of 2008, 14th in the Austrian annual charts of 2008 and 15th in the Swiss annual charts of 2008.
For Ich + Ich this is the sixth chart success in Germany, the fifth in Austria and the third in Switzerland. It is her fourth top 10 success in Germany, as well as the third in Austria and the first in Switzerland.
