Adel Mahmoud Salah Eid El-Tawil (* 15. August 1978 in Berlin ) is a German pop - musician , songwriter and producer , who through his work in the bands The Boyz and I + I became known.

Life
Tawil was born the first of three children and grew up in Berlin-Siemensstadt . His father is Egyptian , his mother Tunisian . Tawil has a younger brother and sister. Adel Tawil attended the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Gymnasium in Berlin. After adding a graffiti tag to the adjoining building during a school excursion to Berchtesgaden in the 9th grade and causing property damage, he was expelled from school and then attended the Heinrich Böll Comprehensive School, which he opened in 1996 after the 12th grade . Class left.
Tawil was in a relationship with Jasmin Tawil for 13 years and married her for three years until they separated in 2014.
In the summer of 2016, Adel Tawil sustained a serious injury. In Egypt holiday he jumped into a swimming pool, hit his head on the bottom of the pool and pulled thereby a quadruple fracture of the first cervical vertebra to. A planned tour therefore had to be canceled.
Adel Tawil lives in Berlin and became a father in 2018, which he announced on April 11, 2019 with a photo on Instagram.
Career
In the late 1990s he was a member of the boy group The Boyz as Kane . Since 2003, he, together with Annette Humpe the duo Ich + Ich , which the eponymous album in 2005 I + I and in 2007 the album From the same star could say. Tawil has also been a solo artist on Tobias Schenke's single Nobody Said To Hear. In 2010 he recorded the song The sky should wait with Sido . In 2013 he landed directly at number 2 in the German single charts with his first solo single Lieder . On November 1, 2013, the second solo single Aschenflug was released with guest musicians Prinz Pi and Sido. The third single Weinen followed on February 28, 2014. The fourth single home , a collaboration with the US reggae musician Matisyahu , was released on June 27, 2014. The so far last single of the debut album Kartenhaus was released on November 14, 2014, at the same time as his first live album Lieder live . In July 2015 he recorded their song I just want you know, together with the German rap duo SDP . The single was released on July 27th, 2015. On August 14th, 2015 the single release of our songs followed .
On March 17, 2017, Tawil released Bis hier und noch weiter and Is there someone at the same time two singles from his upcoming album So nicely different . On April 7th, the third single God stood by me followed . The album was finally released on April 21, 2017. On the album 'Maximum' by KC Rebell & Summer Cem , Tawil was a guest musician on the song Voll mein Ding .
In June 2017 Adel Tawil was the godfather of the new German pop radio 1 / DEUTSCH . To do this, he pressed the start button on the new transmitter.
On April 12, 2019, Tawil released Tu m'appelles, the first single from his third studio album Alles Leben . He recorded the song together with the German-Bulgarian singer Peachy . The single made it into the charts in Germany and Switzerland. With Neues ich , the second single from the album was released in advance on May 24, 2019. Alles Leben was finally released a month later on June 21, 2019.
In an episode of the television program Late Night Berlin broadcast in September 2019 , Tawil is part of a production not marked as such ( scripted reality ).
