Is there someone is a song by the German pop singer Adel Tawil . The piece is one of two singles released at the same time from his second studio album So beautifully different .
Creation and artwork
The song was written jointly by Nicolas Rebscher, Adel Tawil, Simon Triebel and Ali Zuckowski . The single was mixed and produced under the direction of Andreas Herbig and Patrick Salmy in the Hamburg Boogie Park Studios. The mastering was also done by Herbig and Salmy in the Boogie Park Studios, as well as by Sascha Bühren in the TrueBusyness Studios in Berlin . The single was released under the music labels Polydor / Island and distributed by Budde Music, Song Legend Publishing and Adel Tawil Publishing.
On the cover of the single, Tawil can be seen next to artist name and song title. It shows him in a golden brown t-shirt while holding his left arm and standing against a black background. Only Tawil's upper body can be seen on the cover picture. For the cover image of the physical maxi single, it was also decided to use the cover image of Is there someone , although the double A-side Bis hier and even further had its own cover image.

The lyrics to Is there someone is written in German. The music and the text were written jointly by Nicolas Rebscher, Adel Tawil, Simon Triebel and Ali Zuckowski . Musically, the song moves in the area of pop music . In addition to the main vocals by Tawil, Zuckowski's voice can also be heard in the choir. The music video for Is There Somebody premiered on March 27, 2017 on YouTube . The video starts with Tawil sitting in his car listening to his answering machine but not answering the message. Then he visits an empty hotel, where he looks lonely with his dog out of the window. The colors are kept rather cloudy. In the chorus you can see powerful, colorful scenes of a young woman (played by Luise Bussert) moving through a field near the beach. In the second verse, Tawil is sitting in the restaurant and writing the song. You can also see him lonely in front of a swimming pool, where he continues to work on the song. With the second chorus the colors become strong again, and Bussert can be seen again. At the beginning of the bridge there is a scene in which Tawil drives his car over a country road and passes Bussert. He then stops, looks for and finds her. Then the two can be seen together on a cliff in front of the sea. She plays on her cello while Tawil moves in front of her and sings the song. In between you see short sequences in which Tawil happily plays with his dog as well as relieved and happy scenes from Tawil from the restaurant and the swimming pool. The video ends with Tawil standing with outspread arms in front of the sea at sunset. The total length of the video is 4:10 minutes. Konrad Weinz directed, he also produced the video under the pseudonym "Kreuzberger Kind". To date, the music video has over 52.7 million clicks on YouTube (as of May 2019).

Is there someone who reached position twelve in the single charts in Germany in 27 chart weeks . In Austria the single reached position ninth and stayed in the top 10 for a week and in the charts for 22 weeks. In Switzerland, the single reached position three and stayed in the top 10 for seven weeks and in the charts for 28 weeks. Although the song did not make it to number one, it was still the most successful German-language song in the German single charts for a period of one week , as well as the most successful German-language song in the Austrian hit parade for a period of two weeks . In 2017, the single was placed 55th in the single annual charts in Germany, 62nd in Austria and 35th in Switzerland. In the German airplay annual charts , the single was ranked 37th, making it the second most played German-language title of the year after Sowieso ( Mark Forster ).
For Tawil as an interpreter this is his 15th chart success in Germany, his twelfth in Switzerland and his tenth in Austria. It is his sixth Top 10 success in Austria and, after Lieder, his second in Switzerland. As an author, Ist da haben is already his 30th chart success in Germany and his 15th chart success each in Austria and Switzerland. It is his seventh top 10 success in Austria and his fourth in Switzerland. For the tenth time, a single Tawils was placed in all DA-CH countries at the same time . To date, no single Tawils (author and performer) has made it into the Swiss charts.
For Rebscher as an author, the single is already his fifth chart success in Germany and after House Party (for DJ Antoine ) the second chart success in Austria and Switzerland. It is his first top 10 success in Austria and Switzerland. For Triebel as an author this is his 24th chart success in Germany, his 13th in Austria and the seventh in Switzerland. It is his seventh top 10 success in Germany and his fourth in Switzerland. For the seventh time, a Triebels song was placed in all DA-CH countries at the same time . For Zuckowski as an author, Ist da haben is already his 21st chart success in Germany and his twelfth in Austria and Switzerland. It is his sixth top 10 success in Austria and his fifth top 10 success in Switzerland. For the eighth time, a work by Zuckowski was placed in all DA-CH countries at the same time.
