content

The lyrics to Tu m'appelles are bilingual in German and French . The title translates into German as “You call me”. The music was composed jointly by Robin Grubert, Thomas Stengaard Petersen, Ricardo Munoz Repko, Patrick Salmy and Adel Tawil, the text was written by Repko, Salmy, Tawil, Mario Wesser and Alexander Zuckowski. Musically, the song moves in the area of pop music . BMG described the song as a piece about the “connectedness of people” that is about the “unconditional, unstoppable willingness” to be there for someone.

The song is based on two verses, a bridge and a chorus . The song begins with the first stanza, the first part of which is sung in German by Tawil and the second part in French by Peachy. The first stanza is followed by the bridge, which in turn is followed by the refrain. The bridge is written entirely in German. The refrain contains the French exclamation “Tu m'appelles” ( French for “You call me”) or “Si tu m'appelles, tu m'appelles, tu m'appelles” ( French for “If you call me, you call me you call me "). The second stanza is again divided equally into German and French, whereby this begins with the French part and ends with the German part. This is followed by the bridge sung by Tawil and at the end the repetitive refrain, which this time is interpreted jointly by Peachy and Tawil.

“Tu m'appelles.
Call my name from anywhere in the world
Then I'll find you and catch you when you fall.
No desert, no storm to stop me.
Si tu m'appelles, tu m'appelles, tu m'appelles. "
