The Lieder Tour was the first solo tour of the German pop singer Adel Tawil .
background
The song tour was Tawil's first tour as a solo artist. It served to promote his debut album Lieder . The tour lasted a year and a half and took place in several sections. The tour began on March 21, 2014 in the Olympiahalle Munich and ended after 62 concerts on September 19, 2015 in the exhibition and event hall in Löbau . From June 5 to September 27, 2014 Tawil played open-air concerts. The tour took Tawil 56 times to Germany, five times to Austria and once to Switzerland. Tawil played two concerts each in Berlin , Chemnitz , Halle (Westphalia) , Hamburg , Hanover , Munich , Schwerin and Vienna . The Gerry Weber Stadium was the only venue where two concerts took place.
During the first leg of the tour, Tawil was accompanied by the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus . This is a project that enables children and young people to make their own experiences with creating music, videos and multimedia applications. This happens in a 26-ton omnibus, which is equipped with a fully equipped sound and video studio, recording booths, a roof terrace for live performances, satellite transmission options for live streaming and much more.
The concert on September 26, 2014 in Münster's Schlosspark was recorded for Tawil's first live / video album Lieder Live . The open-air concert took place in front of around 10,000 fans as part of the celebrations for the 750th anniversary of the St. Paulus Cathedral .
Tour changes
The tour was supposed to start in autumn 2013, but because work on his debut album was delayed, the tour was postponed and finally began on March 21, 2014. A planned concert as part of the N-Joy Beach Party in Warnemünde on March 31 , 2014 July 2015 had to be canceled due to severe weather warnings.
Opening act
During the first tour section from March 21 to April 13, 2014 (18 concerts), the German singer-songwriter Benne appeared in the opening act at all concerts . Also during the first part of the tour, the German singer-songwriter Madeline Juno appeared in the opening act at all concerts between March 27th and April 13th 2014 (14 concerts) . On July 12, 2015, the Austrian indie pop band Back to Felicity played in the opening act in Linz .
