The Bremerhaven town hall is the central, urban event center in Bremerhaven in the Lehe district . The city hall is operated by the municipal event and fair GmbH .
The hall, which was redesigned in 1995/96, has three galleries and can accommodate up to 6,000 spectators. Celebrations, sporting events, congresses, meetings, trade fairs, music events, flea markets, pop concerts and shows take place in it. The home games of the “ Eisbären Bremerhaven ” are held in the town hall with 4,200 seats .
The town hall can be reached via the A 27 motorway , exit Bremerhaven-Mitte, feeder Grimsbystraße and Stresemannstraße or via Hafenstraße and Melchior-Schwoon-Straße.
Right next to the Bremerhaven town hall, the new Bremerhaven ice arena was opened at Wilhelm-Kaisen-Platz in 2011 , which replaced the old Bremerhaven ice arena and in which the professional ice hockey team “Fischtown Pinguins” of the REV Bremerhaven plays.
