The Salvation Tour is the second independent tour of the German singer-songwriter Madeline Juno .

background

Juno played her first independent concert series with The Unknown Tour last year , shortly afterwards she was part of the Night of the Proms . The Salvation Tour was Juno's second independent concert series as the main act. The tour extended over a period of two and a half weeks and took Juno and her band through twelve German cities and once to Switzerland. After a concert in Zurich's escherwyss club on April 17, 2014, Juno played a concert in Switzerland for the second time. The penultimate concert on November 5, 2016 in the Albert Einstein Gymnasium in Böblingen took place as part of the benefit event “Together as One - Charity goes Concert” for the benefit of children and adolescents with cancer . The event took place in cooperation with the pediatric oncology department at the Olga Hospital Stuttgart . During the tour you could exclusively purchase Junos Waldbrand EP on CD. Previously the album was only available for download. After the tour, the autographed limited edition CD was available from Junos Merchandise Shop.

Opening act

With the exception of the concert in the Offenburg Reithalle , the Berlin singer-songwriter Benoby played in the opening act of all concerts . In Offenburg the resident singer-songwriter Valentina Mér played in the opening act. Mér is Juno's cousin.

Setlist

The setlist during the Salvation Tour consisted of 22 songs including an encore. It consisted mainly of songs from the two presentation albums Salvation and Waldbrand . From the debut album The Unknown only the tracks Error , Like Lovers Do and The Unknown were part of the program. The three pieces and hearts are the only songs that Juno played on her first independent The Unknown tour . The concerts began with a purely English-speaking part, in which mainly songs from the second studio album Salvation were played. Only Like Lovers Do and The Unknown were not from Salvation . Towards the end, the concert got a lot of German and included songs from the Waldbrand EP , with Error only an English song was part of the encore. The Salvation album titles Broken , Küss' die kalten Jungs , On My Toes and Safe Kind of Sadness were not played during the concert series. However, all four tracks were part of the "Deluxe Version" and not the regular edition of the album. All titles from the Waldbrand EP were played. During the concerts, Juno presented the pieces The Unknown , You Know What , Same Sky and Herzchen in acoustic form. Juno played the song Like Lovers Do alone without a band and Please Don't Have Somebody Else was performed in a piano version. In Munich, Juno played a duet with Benoby at the end of the concert, together they played a cover version of Ed Sheeran's The A Team in acoustic form.
