content

The song Aschenflug is written entirely in German. The verses are rapped by Prince Pi and Sido, the chorus is sung by Adel Tawil. The song is about the "ups and downs" in life, positive moments are followed by negative ones and you have to be aware that you are only responsible for your own actions.

Music video

The music video for Aschenflug begins with a ring and a knock on the door. A young man (Jan Sprecher) dressed in underwear tortures himself out of bed, opens the door and learns from a police officer that his brother Timo is wanted for a missed court date. After a spartan breakfast and a cigarette, Jan goes in search of his brother in the local prefabricated housing estate . Neither on the basketball court nor at the drug dealer around the corner can you find what you're looking for. But the search party grows and a short time later three boys and two girls are looking for him.

The search is unsuccessful and that's why the five adolescents decide to celebrate instead. They smoke joints , steal alcohol and take the subway aimlessly through the city. A stolen car opens up completely new possibilities and after a joyride the tank is empty and the youngsters have to come back to local transport . It should go back by bus, but the driver throws the five party-mad people out of the bus.

The three guys don't put up with that and beat the bus driver. After countless blows and kicks, the professional driver lets go and flees, followed by the gang. The result is a car accident and the shocked youngsters realize too late what has just happened. At the end you can see Jan going to the police station to face himself and to answer for his mistake.
