MTV Unplugged Live aus'm MV is a live album by the German rapper Sido from the MTV Unplugged series. It was released by Universal on May 21, 2010 .

Emergence

The arrangements come from Sido and the German music producer Sven Helbig . Both also acted as producers. The Fontane House in the Märkisches Viertel in Berlin was chosen as the recording location , the concert took place on January 28, 2010.

It was first broadcast on May 20, 2010 on MTV . On this occasion, MTV dedicated a whole day of the program to Sido, one day later the CD from the concert was released.

After Herbert Grönemeyer , Die Fantastischen Vier , Die Ärzte , Die Toten Hosen , Sons Mannheims and Sportfreunde Stiller , Sido is the seventh artist from Germany to be engaged for an MTV Unplugged concert.

Guest musician

The song Hey you! Sido rapped together with comedian Kurt Krömer , he recorded the dance together with KIZ . No! he sang as a duet with the singer Doreen Steinert , Heaven shall wait with the I - + - I singer Adel Tawil . The song Da Da Da is a cover version of an old hit by Trio . Former trio singer Stephan Remmler recorded this song for the album as a duet with Sido. After the album was released, Sido sang the song Der Himmel shall Wait together with Ina Müller on their show .

By critics , the album was praised mainly.

Alexander Engelen awards 4 out of 5 stars on laut.de and writes that Sido has the honor of having his own MTV Unplugged with good reason.

The album gets 7 out of 10 points on cdstarts.de. Critic Matthias Reichel thinks that Sido delivered a sovereign performance that gets by without a mask, net and false bottom.

computerbild.de awards the grade "excellent" and describes the album as one of the best unplugged programs from Germany.

Jason Birchmeier from allmusic.com awards 3.5 out of 5 stars and describes the album as a lap of honor and a turning point in Sido's career.
