Aggro Ansage Nr. 4 is the fourth sampler from the independent label Aggro Berlin . It was released on November 5, 2004 on the Berlin label. After the rapper Bushido had switched from Aggro Berlin to the Universal Music Group a few months before , Aggro Announcement No. 4 focuses on the artists Sido , B-Tight and Fler , who remained with Aggro Berlin at the end of 2004 . The sampler entered the German album charts at number seven and was awarded a gold record .

background

In early 2004, Sido's debut album Maske was released . Due to the rapper's presence on the music television channels MTV and VIVA and the high sales of the sound carrier, Aggro Berlin became the most successful independent label active in the hip-hop sector. The label was able to use the great media attention to market its artists and the fourth sampler. The first of six published announcements appeared in early 2002.

Versions

Aggro Announcement No. 4 was originally released in November 2004 and comprises eighteen tracks. After the sound carrier was indexed in 2005, the label's fourth sampler appeared again on April 13, 2006. The new edition is a censored version of the album called Aggro Berlin Aggro Ansage Nr. 4X . In addition to the fourteen non-indexed songs, the pieces Handy Nr. , Scheiß drauf and Twoh can be heard on this one. There are also two video clips on Aggro Announcement No. 4X .

indexing

Aggro announcement no. 4 has been indicated since September 30, 2005. The album was put on list A of the indexed sound carriers by the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People. The reasons for this process are the songs Der Ficker und Ich rappe (RMX) by B-Tight as well as the pieces Küss die Faust by Tony D and Macho by Fler. These were mainly indicated "because of the sexual degradation of women".

criticism

In the course of the dispute between the Berlin resident Sido and the rapper Azad , which was also associated with physical violence, the Frankfurt resident decided to release the sampler from his Bozz-Music label on the same day as the aggro announcement No. 4 . The hip-hop magazine Juice therefore decided to rate the two sound carriers in the Battle of the ear category . Two reviews are written, in which both sound carriers are compared with each other. In the first evaluation, the sampler Bozz Music Vol. 1 was rated better.

“The Bozz team clearly shows the wider range of styles, from Sezai's snot-spoon style to Lunafrow's over-diaphragm to Jonesmann's Spitfire and Chaker's Melancholy. On the other hand, the aggros live on beats that pop loudly in the club. [...] Even though Sidos My Chain also delivers quasi-introspective, without neglecting irony, I'm more with the Bozz clan. "

- Excerpts from the first evaluation of the juice

In a second assessment, Aggro announcement No. 4 is better emphasized. The editor responsible for the rating points out that Aggro Berlin is "ahead of the game" from an artistic point of view as well as from an economic point of view:

Announcement 4 has [...] the more entertaining tracks; where serious, deep and melancholic music reigns supreme among the Frankfurters, Sido, B-Tight and Fler drive texts about gold chains, success, parties and groupies about thick, sometimes really club-like instrumentals, and thus come across much more relaxed. […] My chain with MC René (!) As a guest celebrates Sido's success smoothly, B-Tight gives the player, AidS are really soo cool and those who like Fler will definitely make friends with the energetic Neue Deutsche Welle . The obligatory Aggro Part 4 is again a real hymn and therefore one thing is certain: Aggro is unassailable in the race against Bozz. "

- Excerpts from the second evaluation of the juice

The Laut.de e-zine rated the sound carrier with three out of a possible five evaluation points. In the assessment by Philipp Gässlein, the beats from Fuego were highlighted positively. From the editors' point of view, Sido's piece Meinekette marks “a sad low point on the disc”. In addition, the contributions by Tony D are seen as no enrichment of the album, while the songs by Sido and B-Tight "in direct interaction" are the most "convincing".

“The“ Fuffies Im Club ”remix as a hidden track hits the wall again, then the fourth announcement from Aggro has run through once and leaves the listener in a rollercoaster of emotions. Sido solo only tears half, and Fler cannot replace Bushido in any way [sic!]. Aggro is currently going through the mutation process from an extremely uncompromising underground label to a mass-compatible gold record forge. VIVA will think it's awesome - it's painful for old fans. "
