Neger Neger is a solo album by the German-speaking rapper B-Tight . It was released on April 27, 2007 on the Berlin label Aggro Berlin, seven years after his debut album His Album . Negro Negro was indexed in April 2008 .
History of origin
After a solo album by B-Tight had already been announced for 2004, it was postponed several times until it was finally released in April 2007. B-Tight used the years between his solo albums to EPs The Negro (in me) and X-Tasy , and the Mixtape Hot property which he and together Tony D to publish had taken.
The album is designed as a successor to the EP Der Neger (in mir) . Both the title and the artwork are similar and treat B-Tights descent as half-black and half-white. A fight between the two influences is staged, for example in the advertising slogan “B-Tight becomes a negro when he's angry!”, A deliberately provocative approach to racist clichés.
Versions
Neger Neger appeared, like various Aggro Berlin publications, in a standard and a premium edition. The Premium Edition consists of the content of the standard version and a second CD on which, according to B-Tight, six more personal songs and the video for Ich bin are to be found.
On August 17, 2007, a Ghetto Edition was also released without a real cover and booklet. This is cheaper than the Standard Edition and includes two bonus tracks.
After Neger Neger was indexed in April 2008, a censored Neger Neger X-Edition was released on June 13, 2008 , which is only available in the Premium Edition. The songs in the mouth !!! , No problem , scenario and I see you , as well as various skits had to be deleted. The two songs Fighting and Dreaming were added to compensate .

Description of the songs
In the mouth!!!
In the mouth!!! is a disstrack against the rapper D-Irie . This is not mentioned by name, but the context of the text and interview shows that B-Tight alludes to the Shok Muzik rapper. B-Tight poses as the winner of the previous dispute a few months earlier, in which D-Irie released the single Was Jetzt los? , on which he published Aggro Berlin in general and Fler and B-Tight in particular. Even before the publication of Neger Neger , B-Tight and Aggro Berlin made fun of the fact that Irie D did it with his music despite great Supporting his record company and the media failed to get into the charts. The song is an indexing reason for the album Neger Neger .
Pump me
With the characteristic Tai-Jason beat and the participation of Tony D , who roars the hookline , this song contains various musical elements that can be assigned to crunk . The content is about B-Tight and Tony D asking the listener to turn up the music and celebrate parties (“Crunk with me”). B-Tight raps two verses while Tony D takes on the second verse and contributes the hook.
Everything changes
The track begins with the sentence spoken by B-Tight, "I'm papa now". Everything Changes is about the character change that people in general and B-Tight in particular go through in life. B-Tight says that his life has changed for the better and that this results in satisfaction for him. He also mentions that with increasing age you have to take on more responsibility and gives examples of people who defend themselves against this. In the second verse, B-Tight makes it clear that he would not like to be a child again and that he is trying to enable his daughter to have the childhood that he "would have liked to have lived".
To the grave
Shizoe sings the hook and two verses on Bis ins Grab . In terms of content, it's about the distinction between real and fake friends. The musicians state that they would fight “to the death” for loyal friends. B-Tight in particular emphasizes the importance of honesty in a friendly relationship (“I don't understand lies”). In addition, the rappers make it clear that origin, social status and compliance with laws are meaningless for a friendship.
Everything puss (except mom)
Everything Votzen (except mom) is about B-Tights relationships with various women from his environment and his childhood. The song consists of three stanzas. In the first verse, B-Tight reports that his mother took care of him and his sister, but also hit them. He tried to protect his sister himself. In the second part of the track, B-Tight raps how his heart was "broken" by women and that today it belongs to three women. He also says that thanks to his sister he was never alone. In the third verse, B-Tight reports how he temporarily lived with his uncle and aunt. The rapper denounces that his aunt and mother were beaten by his uncle. He would no longer allow this in his current situation.
Annemarie
At the beginning you hear a man talking about a woman named "Annemarie". Afterwards the listener can hear Dan, who later also sings, rings the doorbell and speaks to Annemarie. This was recommended to him by his pals because she engages in sexual practices with toys. In the course of the song that follows, Annemarie is portrayed as a kind of hooker who is known for her large number of sex partners (“Everyone had Annemarie”). Sexual relationships are indiscriminate ("she makes no difference"), and she is indifferent to her partner's feelings in this regard. Dan, who also sings in the background of the track, describes Annemarie as "the best there is". From the song it is not clear whether Annemarie is a fictional person.

Freetracks
As part of the release of Negro Negro , B-Tight announced, for every 10,000. sold CD to make a song available for download free of charge. The first so-called "Freetrack" Aus'm West was posted on the Internet on May 23rd.
The second free song, Die Elite , followed on August 15 , in which the Berlin rappers Schmökill, Koeppen and Greckoe take part. In a video interview, B-Tight mentioned that the fans can choose who will be on the third freetrack.
The third piece of music was Being like B! and was posted on November 28, 2007. This song was recorded back in 2001.
Singles
The first single on the album is Ich bin . It was released at the same time as the album on April 27, 2007. In addition to the original version of the song, the single contains the instrumental version, a Joe Rilla remix and a Bommer remix by Ich bin . The songs B! is Trumpf and Bobby Dick , who can also be heard on the album, can be found on the sound carrier. The video for Ich bin's premiered on April 11th on the MTV show TRL . The song reached number 3 in the regular TRL Most Wanted charts. At Urban TRL , the clip reached the highest ranking on June 12, 2007 after numerous weeks in number 2 and 3.
On August 17th, the second single Der Coolste was released , which, in addition to the album version of the song, also contained three remix versions of Der Coolste and the songs Männer , Ich komm nicht clear (with Shizoe ) and Best Muzik . In the first week of the program Urban TRL, the video reached number 3 in the Most Wanted category. Numerous hip-hop musicians friends from B-Tight can be seen in the clip. The Brothers Keepers criticized the album and the accompanying marketing campaign as racist and sexist. The affixing of stickers with the title "Neger Neger" in many German cities as well as the use of the word "Neger" in the lyrics was particularly criticized. Aggro Berlin reject these allegations on their homepage.
Negro Negro was indexed by the federal inspection agency for media harmful to minors. The sound carrier was placed on List A and since April 30, 2008, it has no longer been allowed to be sold to young people under the age of 18. The Ghetto Edition , published later, was also indexed. Since June 27, 2008, the sale of the phonogram to minors has been prohibited.

Neger Neger entered the official album charts at number 6. The single Ich bins reached number 45 in the singles charts in the first week. In the second week the album fell to number 32 and the single to number 61. Neger Neger fell to number 47 in the third week, the single rose to number 54. In the further course, it was me who got positions 54, 66, 65 and 65 in the fourth to seventh week, while the album was ranked 51, 64, 66 and 93 according to Media Control.
In Switzerland , Neger Neger climbed to number 35 and fell to 52, 72, 78 and 88 in the following weeks. The rapper is also in the charts in Austria with the album. In the first week, Negro Negro reached number 16 and then fell to positions 42, 47, 55 and 60.
On October 10, 2007, B-Tight said in an interview with B-Stadt.com that Negro Negroes sold around 40,000 times.
The second single "Der Coolste" reached number 92 on the single charts.
