Green Medicine is a Berlin hip-hop group whose members were under contract with the independent label Sektenmuzik . It consists of the rappers Freddy Cool , Koeppen , Viruz and Schmökill .
history
The members of Green Medicine come from the Märkisches Viertel in Berlin . At the beginning of 2000, the rappers Freddy Cool and Koeppen founded the group under the name Green Medicine. In the following time, the group constellation changed several times until the solid core was formed in 2003. In addition to Freddy Cool and Koeppen, the group now also includes the musicians Viruz and Schmökill.
Since the members of Green Medicine come from the same neighborhood as the rappers Sido and B-Tight and have had personal contact with them in their past, they received an artist contract with Sektenmuzik .
In 2007, Viruz accompanied Sido 's Halt's Maul - number entry tour as a back-up rapper from B-Tight . On September 28, 2007, the first album Psychose by Green Medicine was released. Among others, Greckoe , Tony D , King Orgasmus One , Alpa Gun and Frauenarzt will be represented with guest contributions. A video was shot for the song Psychosis , which was shown on the MTV show TRL .
In March 2011, the group released their second album Durchgepeitscht . The album was released on Shrödamukke's own label . The sound carrier had been announced since 2009, but was repeatedly postponed.
For the 2012 European Football Championship , Green Medicine recorded the song European Champion 2012 . This was initially made available on the Internet free of charge and later also implemented as a video. Before the third preliminary round match between the German national soccer team and the Danish team , the group presented the song on the Berlin Fan Mile . At the beginning of 2014 the member Viruz published the solo EP Zeit Digital on the Internet.
Surname
The group's name refers to the use of marijuana . In addition to this interpretation, there are other ways to interpret the name.
