Sect music
Sektenmuzik was a Berlin independent label that was active in the hip-hop sector. It was founded by the Aggro Berlin rappers Sido and B-Tight .
history
Sektenmuzik was officially founded by Sido and B-Tight at the end of 2006 / beginning of 2007 with a business registration. It forms the basis for the rap group Die Sekte , which was founded in 1998 by Sido, B-Tight, Rhymin Simon and Vokalmatador . Over the years, the group has grown or decreased in size several times by artists. Originally it only consisted of Sido and B-Tight's roommates at the time. The 1998 album " Sintflows " included Sido, B-Tight, Rhymin Simon, Vocal Matador, Calle, Collins, Kimba and Milo $ among the members of the sect. In 2001 all other members left the sect except for AidS (Sido and B-Tight) . In the following years the number of members increased again when rappers from the Aggro Berlin environment joined the formation. Except for Alpa Gun ( Berlin-Schöneberg ), Tony D ( Berlin-Neukölln ) and MOK (also Berlin-Neukölln), all members come from the Märkisches Viertel in Berlin .
In November 2009, the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People indexed two publications of the label on List A of the index. Sektenmuzik - Der Sampler II and Sektenmuzik - Der Sampler III are affected .
In 2011 Alpa Gun and Greckoe left the label. Greckoe founded his own label "Out of Nowhere Entertainment", Alpa Gun switched to Major Movez . Since no album has been released on the label since 2010 and the Sektenmusik website no longer exists, it can be assumed that operations have been discontinued. Whether or not the label still exists as such, however, is difficult to say because like many unprofitable music labels it has been sunk into silence.
