Goldstander is the third solo album by the Berlin rapper B-Tight . It was released on October 31, 2008 on the Aggro Berlin label and is distributed by Universal . It entered the German charts at number 36 and 96 on the Swiss charts.
style
Stylistically, the album can be assigned to battle rap . The standard CD and the premium CD are in contrast. The former mainly contains battle tracks , songs about B-Tight's success with women and his own potency. The latter, on the other hand, contains more serious, more personal tracks about the darker side of success, life in the ghetto, his use of drugs, life after death and his love for music. The title Gold Stand is a nod to B-Tights potency (having a stand ).
Versions
The album was released in a standard and premium edition. The Premium Edition contains a second CD with 11 additional titles. The booklet of the standard version contains images from the music video She will me , production notes and the consumer advice on the artists' texts , which has been common since the controversy about the music of the rappers from Aggro Berlin .
Cover
On the cover picture of the standard edition, B-Tight stands with a bare upper body in front of a black background, surrounded by four barely clad women who look in amazement at a glow on B-Tight's abdomen. At the top is Aggro Berlin presents B-Tight Gold Stand , at the bottom left is the consumer hint-hard text , at the bottom right is the Aggro Berlin logo. The cardboard slipcase of the premium version has a similar design, only the B-Tights upper body fills the entire cover, the women have disappeared and the rapper is holding a gold disco ball with both hands.

reception
The album was rated mostly negative to moderate by the critics.
At Laut.de , the short album length ("With a total length of 35 minutes, including four and a half intro and skits, it has also become a damn short stand.") And the too flat entertainment ("I expect a little more, please." Entertainment than the one that forum inmates mentioned for flaming 'X is better than Y' arguments these days is enough. ”). Only one of 5 stars was awarded.
Rap.de disliked the technical inadequacies of B-Tights Raps: "However, the fast passages still sound very messy and sloppy and you can tell that B-Tight is still technically limited." And lack of ideas / uninspiredness: "It's all ambitious and trying too hard, but the spark doesn't really want to jump out. ”In the evaluation system, which is similar to an analog thermometer, the needle deflects in the lower area.
Rappers.in particularly praises the single Sie wants mich: "causes a sensation with guitar and electro-heavy sounds and knows how to convince in a refreshing way" and the tracks on the premium CD: "the premium version (on CD two) however, a completely different Bobby Dick emerges. Suddenly he makes use of thematic diversity, brings tracks that you didn't expect from him, and thus convinces across the board. ”The site awarded 4 out of 6 microphones.
