Aggro Ansage Nr. 5 is the fifth sampler from the independent label Aggro Berlin . It was released on December 2, 2005 on the Berlin label. On the Aggro announcement no. 5 , the end of 2005, aggro Berlin under contract standing rapper Sido , B-Tight , Fler , Tony D and G-hot in the center. The sampler entered the top 10 of the German album charts and was awarded a gold record .

Emergence

Aggro Ansage Nr. 5 is the fifth sampler from the Aggro Berlin label . After the first two announcements by the artists of the Aggro Berlin label were published in 2002, a sampler by the Berlin label was published annually. In an interview, Specter , the head of the label, commented on the future of the series.

“We have always been irritated by series, if only for the collecting economy factor. In the meantime, however, I feel that the 'announcement' is almost a burden, it has become a kind of obligation towards the fans and towards the company. So it may be that this 'announcement' is the last if a sixth no longer makes sense in the next year. But this time the 'announcement' was still very important. "

Concept and reactions

After Aggro Announcement No. 3 and in 2005 Aggro Announcement No. 2 , Mask and Aggro Announcement No. 4 had already been indexed, the fifth part should be a sign against the political arbitrariness, which from the point of view of the label of work the artist is met. For example, Fler attacks politicians and the media in the song Identity and justifies the concept of the frequently criticized album Neue Deutsche Welle . Furthermore, on Aggro Announcement No. 5 with rappers like Frauenarzt or MC Bogy, members of the Berlin Crime group , whose recordings have also been indexed frequently, are represented.

“It is […] that they want to harm us economically […]. We are formally being tried to be forbidden. But because we are here in Germany and you can't just ban someone, you start to work against us with political means. If you delete one record after the other from the back catalog of an independent label , then you want to kill the label - nobody can tell me anything else. […] The bizarre thing is that you never get any rights that only want to spread their ideas in this way. But we're still musicians. We have completely different goals. And only because we dutifully pay Gema are we vulnerable. "

- Specter across from the Juice

Aggro announcement No. 5 was indexed a few months after its appearance by the Federal Testing Office for media harmful to minors. Since May 31, 2006, the phonogram may no longer be advertised or sold to persons under the age of 18. The reason for the indexing is the lyrics of the pieces of music Schlampe and Petrol . The bodies of the BPjM criticized the texts because of the misogyny, violence and the connection between sexuality and violence and entered Aggro Announcement No. 5 in Part A of the list of media harmful to minors. In 2007, with the ban on Der Neue Standard and FLER 90210, further indexing of sound carriers from the Berlin label followed.

Versions

Aggro Announcement No. 5 appeared in a standard and a premium edition . The Premium Edition consists of two compact discs . These are packed in a cardboard slipcase. In addition to eleven songs that can be heard on the second disc of the Premium Edition, this also contains the video clips for the songs Aggro Berlin Zeit and Give me the bottle , which appeared on the album Your Favorite Album , as well as the demo version of the PC Game Fastlane Carnage .

After Aggro Announcement No. 5 was indexed, Aggro Berlin published Aggro Announcement N. 5X on July 14, 2006 . This new edition appeared again in a standard and a premium edition. The standard version consists of 25 pieces. The indexed songs Petrol and Slut were removed from the track list and replaced by the piece of music Mein Sieg , which is performed by B-Tight and Tony D. In the premium edition, the second CD remained unchanged, whereas the same changes were made on the first CD as in the standard version.

criticism

Cover of the X version

The reviews of Aggro Announcement No. 5 were mixed. The website Laut.de awarded the album two out of a possible five evaluation points. In the reasoning, the "usual convincing musical background" is emphasized as positive. On the other hand, Philipp Gässlein, who is the author of the review, is critical of the numerous texts presented. Gässlein takes up the songs Du Hu (rensohn) and Aggro Star , which he describes as “unspeakably stupid”, as negative examples .

“At least at G-Hot, the label bosses are showing a lucky hand. Very similar to Frank White in terms of style and rhyme scheme, he trumps him far in terms of technology and especially in terms of content. Actually, you can hardly be angry with aggro. With Sido and G-Hot, they have two rappers at the start who can certainly tear something even from conventional points of view. B-Tight always blooms when he doesn't let himself be pulled down by the unspeakable Tony D. Especially on 'Ghetto People', Bobby Dick cuts a fine figure with feature guest MC Bogy. But the concept works financially. And that today's rap scene equates fame and commercial success is really not the problem for the Berlin label. "

- Excerpt from the review by Philipp Gässlein

The hip-hop magazine Juice rated the aggro announcement no. 5 with 4.5 out of a possible 6 “crowns” as positive. The reasoning emphasizes, among other things, that the Berlin label has set an example against politics and the media with the sampler:

“This fifth - and best - 'announcement' [works] in its entirety: the consistently high level of the productions […], the interplay of the five characters in the most varied of constellations, the Berlin skits , the cover artwork, the symbolic ones Adding in the colleagues from BC, the concentration of the statement: 'It is time we fight back, time for a counter-attack.' Of course, considerable parts of the rapnation will howl again when Spaiche says on said ski: 'The people are behind us.' Those who say that Sido can't rap, B-Tight even less and Tony D certainly can't rap at all. But they too will have to admit in private that Aggro Berlin have set a powerful signal against the mendacity of the media landscape, against censorship and political arbitrariness with their announcement No. 5. "
