Südberlin Masculin is a collaboration album by the Berlin rappers Fler and Godsilla . The former appears under the pseudonym Frank White . The album was released on August 29, 2008 as a standard and premium edition on the Aggro Berlin label . The name is based on West Berlin masculine .
In 2012 a follow-up album was released with the title Südberlin Masculin II .
content
In terms of content, the album is strongly based on the style of the Carlo Cokxxx Nutten albums by Fler and Bushido . This mostly includes typical gangsta rap songs (e.g. Bizz Action Drive , Alqaida in German , masculine masculine ). A little variety is created by thoughtful songs like Too often and Ghetto in the head .
production
The beats, which were largely produced by Djorkaeff , are almost always combined with dark melodies. In some songs lines from older songs are scratched in (e.g. Zunami Business , Comeback ). Beatzarre assisted in three productions.
Cover design
The album cover of the standard version shows Fler standing in front of a gray wall and turning his back to the viewer. He wears a jacket with the Südberlin masculine logo on it. Above it is the words Frank White & Godsilla . Fler's hands are handcuffed.
On the premium version, only the Südberlin masculine logo is shown in front of a gray wall, which consists of the side view of a muscular man in front of a suggested red saw blade and the black lettering Südberlin (above) and masculine (below). Above it is the words Frank White & Godsilla .

Südberlin Masculin entered the German charts at number 22 and stayed in the top 100 for three weeks. Ich bin ein Rapper was the only single that was published digitally, although it did not make it into the charts. In addition, a video clip was shot when the beat stops playing.
