Berlins Most Wanted is a collaboration album by the German rappers Bushido , Fler and Kay One , who appear on the record under the pseudonym Berlins Most Wanted . It was released as a standard and limited deluxe edition on October 22, 2010 via Bushido's label ersguterjunge .

background

Berlins Most Wanted were originally a Berlin hip-hop formation that was founded in the early 2000s by rappers Bushido, Bass Sultan Hengzt and King Orgasmus One under the joint label I Luv Money Records . After Bushido was signed a little later by the independent label Aggro Berlin , the latter planned, as Bushido later stated in interviews, to first publish a Berlin Most Wanted album. Work on titles and artwork would have already begun before Bushido broke off the project due to multiple delays in the work process by his colleagues and instead published Carlo Cokxxx Nutten together with Fler in 2002, which is now considered to be groundbreaking for the careers of both rappers .

Nevertheless, at this point in time, a Berlin Most Wanted album was still planned for the artists' future. In 2005, for example, Bushido, who left Aggro Berlin a year earlier and signed Bass Sultan Hengzt to his self-founded record company ersguterjunge a little later, said in an interview that such an album was planned for the period after 2005. In the same year, however, Bass Sultan Hengzt and ersguterjunge separated. A little later, Bass Sultan Hengzt announced that Bushido was no longer a member of Berlin's Most Wanted. The rapper Godsilla was named as his successor . Sultan Hengzt also announced a Berlin Most Wanted album several times in the following years.

In the first half of 2010, Bushido, Kay One and Fler released their respective solo albums on ersguterjunge, times change you , Kenneth alone at home and Flersguterjunge , all of which were in the top 10 of the German album charts. Bushido then announced to Bravo Hip Hop that a project by the three rappers was planned for the same year. At the same time, on August 5, 2010, it became known that Bushido had registered the name "Berlins Most Wanted" with the German patent office . After confirming the album title, Bass Sultan Hengzt told the Deutschrap website 16bars.de that it was nothing new that Bushido was stealing from him and, alluding to the names of earlier Bushido releases, he announced a new crew for fun, as he later made clear called Karlo Kok's Hooker Crew and their first release New Kidz on the Block . Later he expressed himself more conciliatory and declared that he had "simply forgotten" the patenting of the title . Bushido, Fler and Kay One later declared that they deliberately chose the album title as a provocation against Hengzt, even though only they would do justice to the title "Berlins Most Wanted" in terms of popularity.

Emergence

According to Bushido, the idea of a joint album with Fler and Kay One had been in the foreground for a long time. The three rappers specifically decided on the concept of a Berlin Most Wanted album on June 5, 2010 during an appointment on the shared times-change-you tour in Dresden . According to the rappers involved, the actual recordings for the album took place within three weeks.

content

The battle tracks typical of gangsta rap predominate on the album (e.g. the whole galaxy , run, whore, run! ). In addition, however, you can also hear a few profound songs (e.g. Mein Ein und Alles , request concert ). The limited deluxe edition also includes three solo tracks by the rappers, as well as the video clip for the single and a DVD. The sound carrier works completely without guest contributions.

production

Most of the beats for Berlin's Most Wanted were produced by Bushido himself. Djorkaeff and Beatzarre are also responsible for some productions .
