The reviews of Südberlin Masculin II were average.

At Laut.de the album received 2 out of a possible 5 stars:

“When exactly did styling and the brand fetishism that goes with it become a central topic in the men's world? In 2012, the most masculine imaginable occupation no longer seems to be the oil-smeared mechanic, the sweating steel worker or the rodeo rider, but the male model and - if this continues - the florist. 'German rap is not tough enough for me' - I sign this line from 'Nenn Es Wie Du Willst'! Apparently nobody needs content or even stories anymore. Fler and Silla limit themselves to announcing their return together, the success they have achieved in the meantime, as well as their allegedly unbroken roots in the 'underground' and firing one or two blank cartridges towards Kollegah and Farid Bang in order to restore the feud, which has only been slowly melting away to fire. "

At Rap.de the album received 7 out of a possible 10 points:

“What Fler can definitely do, like no other, is to pick the right beats and ensure a coherent, well-rounded overall package, and so we have to praise Messrs. Ilan, Beatzarre and Djorkaeff, who are responsible for have the right instrumental ready for every topic. The drums and snares clatter and croak as they should and the synths do the rest. And even if the normal version of the album may have been a bit short in terms of time, in this case that's enough to create a good album with roots in West Berlin battle and street rap and influences from the current American rap scene.
