Masculin Mixtape Vol. 3 is a music album from the Masculin label . It was published in two editions on September 13, 2013.

The cast of the mixtape includes the rappers Silla , Jihad , Animus , Fler and DJ Gan-G as well as the singer Francisco in the chorus of Hardcore .

The mixtape covers several categories. So the song I'm there for you by Animus is a deep song. The song Money , on the other hand, is about eroticism . There is also the continuation of the song Deutscha Bad Boy , where the chorus was edited with the help of Auto-Tune . There are also battle tracks on the mixtape . Two examples of this would be dope and black tank top . In the latter, the music of I'm Ill was used. In addition, Schwarzes Tanktop is based on a sample of the song Zu Gangster by Fler , Silla and French Montana . The refrain for Undercover Kanack was sampled from the song Product of the Environment by Fler and Jihad . The so-called hashtag flow is often used on the mixtape .

In 2011, the Maskulin label released the first label sampler Masculin Mixtape Vol. 1 , which presented the label's artists and Fler, label founder Patrick Losensky. This was followed by the albums Südberlin Masculin II by Fler and Silla, Behind Blue Eyes and Blue Blood by Fler, as well as The Passion Whiskey by Silla. In the meantime, the masculine mixtape Vol. 2 has been published. In July 2013, the song High Hells , which was recorded by the rappers Fler Jihad and Animus , was filmed by the director Chris Macari .

The scratches in the intro are from DJ Gan-G , the music mostly from the producers Hijackers and Cubeatz , single beat are from X-plosive , Joshimixu and JumpaBeatz . JumpaBeatz produced the intro and Joshimixu Absolut Silla . The titles Hardcore and Panik in der Disco (Masculine Remix) were produced by X-plosive. However, an American sample was also used. This is how they took the music from I'm Ill at Schwarzes Tanktop . The song Dope contains a vocal sample in the chorus. The mastering of the songs on the album was performed in the US by Brian Gardner.

The cover shows the four rappers Silla, Jihad, Animus and Fler. In the middle of the cover are the words Masculine Mixtape Vol.3 and mixed by DJ Gan-G . Underneath is the word Audio Anabolika Edition . The outer edge of the cover is decorated with images of cans filled with anabolic steroids .

On July 23, 2013, the first part of a short film series was uploaded to YouTube. In addition to audio samples from the mixtape, the first short film also shows excerpts from the video shoot in Paris and recordings behind the scenes. A second part followed a few days later. The third short film shows the rappers Silla, Jihad, Fler and Animus filming the song Panik in der Disco (masculine remix) in Berlin. The music video for the song High Heels was released on August 11th. It was shot by the French director Chris Macari . On September 2, 2013, the music video was released on YouTube. The song, which was recorded by Silla and Animus, contains a sample in the chorus from the song Zu Gangster from the album Behind Blue Eyes . The music of the song comes from the song I'm Ill by Red Café . In the music video for Schwarzes Tanktop you can see the rappers Silla, Animus and Jihad playing basketball, in front of different cars and in the gym. Before the song begins in the video, excerpts from Fler in Monaco are shown in the video. A few days before the release, a snippet of the mixtape appeared, which presented audio samples for a number of songs. On September 24, 2013 Fler, Jihad, Silla and Animus appeared on the station Joiz with the songs Hardcore and High Heels . In the first week of sales, the mixtape reached number 8 in Germany and Austria and number 9 in the album charts in Switzerland. In all three countries it stayed in the list of the 100 best-selling albums for a week. The song Hardcore also got into the iTunes charts through heavy downloads .
